Marty Brodeur becomes the Greatest Goalie ever – 552

No Goalie has ever won as many games as Martin Brodeur.   It feels so odd saying that as I have a bit of personal history with Marty.

When I ran sports card shows and repped athletes at other events in the early 90’s I had the opportunity to have Marty do his first gig for me, and then help him with some others.

His Dad, Denis, supplied me with photos for all of my player events so I knew Marty before he played his first NHL game.

When I was considering jounalism for a career he, his dad, and brother took me to lunch at Le Bifteque in Montreal and we had a very good and silly time which helped convince me that I’d never be a journalist. 🙂

Congrats Marty and congrats to your family.   If anyone has ever earned and deserved their success it’s you.

Now nobody can ever say Patrick Roy is better than you again.
