Habs sink to bottom and lose to Leafs

Yes, the Habs lost 5-2 to Toronto.   It was a brutal affair as the Hockey Gods rained down disfavour on Canadians head coach and GM Bob Gainey.

I guess this will be a lesson to future GM’s not to have the core of your team be UFA’s.

Maxim Lapierre, Guy Carboneau’s protege scored Montreal’s two goals.     The Habs were outshot 37-28 in Montreal.

The Canadians are now clinging to 8th place.   It’s not looking very good is it.
