Habs Clip Hawks 4-1 – Still in Eighth

I predict that as long as the Habs outshoot their oppenents good things will happen.  It did last night.  Even they they spent more time in the box than the Hawks Cristobal Huet’s return to Montreal ended in a 4-1 victory for the Bleu, Blanc, et Rouge.

Alex Kovalev scored early and was spirited.  Carey Price is looking better and the team;  other than the Plekenec line, was moving forward towards the play-offs.

Florida beat Ottawa 5-2 so the Panthers are still just a point behind for the final play-off spot.   All the Habs have to do is keep winning and they’ll be fine.

In other NHL scores:

Boston 3 TB 1;  Columbus edged Nashville 2-1;  Marian Gaborik’s goal helped Minnesota beat Vancouver 2-1;  Anaheim 5-3 over Edmonton; and Dallas over LA 3-2.

If the play-offs started tomorrow the Habs would play the Bruins!
