L I N K That sounds like a lot of people killed; more than 9/11, but there are an awful lot more people that die each year from your average flu; usually from complications like pneumonia.
“the flu pandemic has infected an estimated 22 million Americans and put 98,000 in the hospital, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.”
They estimate that over 500 of those deaths were children.
“In an average flu season, about 36,000 Americans die and 200,000 are hospitalized with 90 percent of deaths and hospitalizations among people over 65.”
So that would mean 10 times as many die from your standard flu. Yet every news site; including our own is writing about the flu “Pandemic”.
