Mayor Kilger Wants Cornwall to win and so do we! Vote Now and Vote Often to Help Put Cornwall Ontario on the new Canadian Edition of Monopoly! by Markus Noé – January 14, 2010

Let’s Get Cornwall On Board!

Attention Cornwallites, the city has a chance to become apart of game board history. A media release came out today stating that Hasbro the maker of Monopoly is making a new “Canadian edition.”

Unfortunately Cornwall did not make the initial list of 65 who are fighting for 22 spots on the board, but can still be voted in as a “wild card.” February 8, the top 10 wildcard cities will officially join the group of 65 and battle it out.

This contest has captured Mayor Bob Kilger’s attention as he understands the value of being one of the cities’s named to the board when he said, “If Cornwall makes it onto the Monopoly game board, it will be a big boost to enhancing the City’s profile amongst Canadians.”

Now it is up to Cornwallites to do the dirty work and go the monopoly site to vote, http://www.monopolyvote.ca/. “I would encourage everybody to vote. It is a fun way for every citizen to pitch in and boost Cornwall!” said Kilger.

As of this printing Cornwall Ontario was number 11!   Keep up the good work Cornwall!

UPDATE as of January 15, 2010 11:AM Cornwall is up to Number 5!   You Rock Cornwall!
