Canucks Taste First Blood in 5-3 Win over Hawks – Bruins Edge Flyers 5-4 NHL PLAY OFFS – Cornwall Ontario – May 2, 2010

Cornwall ON – The Vancouver Canucks ate their Wheaties and stomped the Chicago Black Hawks 5-1 in Chicago to open their second round series even though they were out shot 37-28.   Roberto Luongo is a man on a mission and Vancouver showed how deadly their offence can be as the points were well spread throughout the line up.

The Boston Bruins needed over time, but they win game one of their second round series on a goal from Marc Savard who returned to this series from injury.   The B’s out shot the Flyers 46-36 in this action packed and penalty filled game.

Dennis Wideman had 3 points and over 28 minutes of ice time while ageless Mark Recchi added a couple and chipped in 4 minutes in tough guy penalty minutes.   Zedno Charo had over 33 minutes of ice time and Miroslav Satan had 6 shots which is pretty good for a late season pick up from NHL cast offs.
