Habs force Game 7 with 4-3 Win at Home – Flyers Won’t Die – Shut Out Boston 4-0 – Cornwall Ontario – May 10, 2010

Cornwall ON – Both the Philadelphia Flyers and Montreal Canadiens kept their dreams of Lord Stanley alive!   The Flyers shut out Boston 4-0 even after losing Brian Boucher to injury.   Michael Leighton finished the shut out.

Simon Gagne led the way with two goals for Philly.  Chris Pronger was on the ice for over 27 minutes as the Flyers beat up the injury riddled Bruins squad.

My favorite Hab Mike Cammallieri led the way with the first and second goals.   The Habs haven’t had a left winger like this since the days of my original favorite Hab, Steve Shutt!

I for one sure as heck wouldn’t want to be in the Pittsburgh dressing room tonight!  PK Subban nearly had 30 minutes of ice time. The Habs went back to their tried and true formula.  Get the first goal, let Jaroslav Halak make a lot of saves and get the last goal!  Play with the lead and keep the other guys to outside shots.

Jaroslav Spacek made the most of his return from injury and scored the 3rd goal for Montreal.   Hal Gill is still nursing his injury and Andrei Markov is skating, but not ready and probably will not return to the play offs this year.
