Flyers Even NHL FINALS at 2 games with 5-3 victory over Blackhawks – Is Chicago in Trouble? June 5, 2010 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Might is making right in the Stanley Cup finals as the Philadelphia Flyers have tied the series at 2 with their 5-3 victory over the choking Chicago Black Hawks.   Chris Pronger was plus 4 and his puck antics in the first two games seem to be resonating over a  Hawk team that’s let its mojo slip away.

GAME BOXSCORE

Dan Carcillo wasn’t even in the lineup, but for Chicago it comes down to spending too much time in their zone and reacting to the Flyers instead of doing what put them in the Cup Finals.  Could you imagine if the Hawks lose this series?

Marian Hossa had 2 shots and no points for Chicago.  Of all the players he should have the most motivation as this is third cup final in a row; all with different teams.   It’s time for him to cash in or start to get a Joe Thornton type label.

The shots were near even, and both teams were hitting, but Chicago took a few too many bad penalties.  Jeff Carter had 6 shots and Mike Richards 5.  You have to shut down a team’s best players to really have success.

We now have a series Ladies and Gentlemen!   Who do you think will finish with the Cup?
