Hawks Soar Past Flyers 7-4 in Game 5 of Stanley Cup Finals – -5 for Chris Pronger – Cornwall Ontario – June 7, 2010

Cornwall ON – In what will probably be the turning point of this series, Chris Pronger had probably his worst play off game of his NHL career.   1 shot, 2 minutes in penalties and  a -5 for the night.   While the shots on the evening were nearly the same, 28-27 for Chicago the results were very different as Brian Boucher and Michael Leighton gave up 7 Black Hawk goals.

For the Hawks it was Dustin Byfuglien’s night to shine as the big forward had 4 points and was +4 for the night helping to overcome the Marian Hossa curse.  Mr. Hossa had 6 shots but 0 points and was minus 3 for the evening.

BOXSCORE

In other NHL news it looks like Montreal might be losing their Hamilton Bulldog coach, Guy Boucher to Columbus.  Boucher who is heralded as the heir apparent to Jacques Martin’s job, had an amazing first season coaching the Bulldogs.

What do you think Canada?  Is this series and the 2009-2010 NHL hockey season over?
