Parade of Nations a Success Despite Smaller Crowds for 2010 – Cornwall Ontario – September 23, 2010

Cornwall ON – The weather was perfect; the cause just, but this year’s Parade of Nations somehow had less people than last year.    There were less people carrying flags, and less people attending the event which this year went two days.   There were an awful lot of politicians as Mayor Kilger was joined by Councilor Elaine MacDonald and Ray Beauregard who’s running for Deputy Mayor in South Stormont.

Councilor Bernadette Clement who marched in the parade also was seen visiting and enjoying a smoothie Summer Company entrepreneur Noora Kassab.

Councilor Elaine MacDonald

Lamoureux Park was filled with lots of free entertainment and lots of things for people of all ages to do, but the crowds were sparse.

Linda Halliday of Ontario Power Generation was on hand to present a cheque for $500 to the Fundraiser.

Hopefully Marie Morrell and her team can rebound and fill the streets again as they did last year.
