October 29th Final Pickup Date for Water-Damaged Material – To request a pick up, please call 613 930-2787 x 2542 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – The City of Cornwall will be wrapping up the special pickup of water-damaged material on Friday, October 29th.  All residents who still have water-damaged goods to be collected must call the pickup service number before the program’s end.

This service is separate from the City’s normal solid waste collection program and has been contracted to Hec’s Tree Service.  There is no cost to the property owner for this service.

To request a pick up, please call 613 930-2787 x 2542, after the goods have been placed at the roadside. The phone line is set up and the following information can be left:

Address
Phone Number
Confirmation that goods are at the road

Please note that this special pickup service is only for water-damaged materials as a result of the September 30th flood.  Regular garbage and blue/black box pickup will continue as normal, as does normal landfill drop-off rules and fees.

Flood Impact Survey
All residents that experienced flooding are asked to complete the City’s Flood Impact Survey, if they have not already done so. Affected property owners can participate in the survey online (via www.Cornwall.ca) or by calling the Flood Impact Survey hotline at 613 930-2787 extension 2132.

The phone hotline will be operational Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30pm. The online survey is available 24 hours a day.
