Akwesasne Warriors make it 4 in a Roll as they Come back and Beat Rome Frenzy 10-8! VIDEO – Jan 29, 2011

Akwesasne Mohawk Territory - The Warriors are on a roll!   With  their 10-8 victory over the Rome Frenzy at the Turtledome Friday night the league leaders of the Federal Hockey league have now won 4 strait.

1st Star Luc Mazerolle led the way with 5 goals and 3 helpers going +6 for the night. Ahmad “Mad Man” Mahfouz put 5 points up on the board and newcomer from Khanawake, Travis Stacey put up 3 while going -1.   Neither Stacey or Mahfouz fought on the evening although not for trying on Mahfouz’ part as teams just seem to be afraid of him.   Power Forward Stacey had this to say for his first pro night!

The Frenzy were quite happy to fight with Kris McCarthy as he had two bouts going 1-1 who was one goal shy of scoring a Gordie Howe Hat Trick.

Miguel Deslisle had one of his better games of the year putting up 2 goals and 3 assists for the evening.  Goalie David Plouffe regained his composure and helped keep the Warriors in the game as the Frenzy were skating fast and hard against the Warriors.   Akwesasne out shot Rome 55-39.

It should be interesting to see how the Warriors respond to the 1000 Island Privateers who arrive at Anowarako:wa Arena at 7:05 PM tonight.    They can’t give up as many good scoring chances as they did Friday night against this squad.
