Seaway International Bridge SHUT DOWN in Fuel Tanker Collision – February 13, 2011 – Cornwall Ontario – UPDATED BRIDGE OPEN 1:15 PM EST

Cornwall ON – The Seaway International Bridge was is shut down as there was a two vehicle collision involving a fuel tanker truck as seen by pictures courtesy of Robert Selwood.

The bridge connects Cornwall Ontario to Akwesasne Mohawk Territory before connecting to a second bridge to the US.

Other media were reporting four vehicles in the collision, but we spoke to Sgt David Michaud of the Cornwall Police and he stated that there was one fuel tanker and one passenger vehicle only.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital reporting minor injuries.
