FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, Ont. – Donald Joseph Coleman, 66, of Cornwall turned himself into police on the 18th of February, 2011.  It is alleged that he failed to attend court on the 18th of January, 2011 and a bench warrant was requested.  He was held in custody until court.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, Ont. – Delray Colon, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on the 18th of February, 2011 following an assault investigation.  It is alleged that on the 12th of February, 2011 while intoxicated by alcohol outside a Pitt Street licenced establishment, the male assaulted two paramedics who had been rendering assistance to him.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 2 counts of Assault.  He was released to appear in court on the 08th of March, 2011 to answer to the charges.

THEFT and BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, Ont. – Justin Leonard Rainey, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on the 19th of February, 2011 following a shoplifting incident. The male was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  It is alleged that he entered a Water Street East department store and stole merchandise.  He was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer until the arrival of the Cornwall Community Police Service.  As a result of the theft, he is facing 1 count each of Theft Under $5,000.00 and Breach of Probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on the 29th of March, 2011.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

Cornwall, Ont. – Tyson Thompson, 24, of Akwesasne was arrested on February 20th, 2011 while entering Canada through the Cornwall point of entry.  The male was bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition to Not operate a Motor Vehicle or be Found behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.  On February 19th, it is alleged that he was observed operating a motor vehicle through the Point of Entry and a member of the Canada Border Services Agency requested that an inspection be performed on his vehicle.  The male fled the area in his vehicle, avoiding the inspection.  On the following day the male, who was a passenger in a motor vehicle, attempted to enter Canada through the Cornwall Point of Entry.  He was recognized and detained until the arrival of the Cornwall Community Police Service and arrested for 1 count of Breach of Recognizance and 1 count of Obstruct Justice.  He was held in custody until court the following day.

WARRANT

Cornwall, Ont. – Nancy Marie Leach, 46, of Cornwall was arrested on the 21st of February, 2011 on the strength of a warrant.  It is alleged that she failed to attend court on the 02nd of February, 2011 and a warrant was in force.  She was released to appear in court on the 15th of March, 2011 to answer to the charge of Failing to Attend Court.

BREAK AND ENTER and BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, Ont. – Julian McBride, 20, of Cornwall was arrested on the 21st of February, 2011 following a break and enter investigation.  The male was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Notify the proper authorities of any change of address.  On the 31st of December, 2010 it is alleged that he broke into a Carleton Street residence.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Break and Enter and 2 counts of Breach of Probation.  He was released to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.

TRESPASS BY NIGHT and BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

Cornwall, Ont. – A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 21st of February, 2011 for several offences.  He was bound by a Recognizance Order with a full house arrest condition.  It is alleged that on the arrest date, he was located on Dunbar Avenue going through unlocked vehicles.  Police were contacted and located the youth fleeing from police.  He was arrested for 1 count of Trespass by Night and 1 count of Breach of Recognizance.  He was held in custody until court the following day.  His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred in a storage container on a Second Street East property sometime between 06:00 p.m. on February 18th and 09:00 p.m. the following day.  The suspect(s) gained entry by breaking the door locks on the container.  Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a Lincoln Mig Welder with an argon tank, a torch set, 4 20” Dodge chrome rims and tires, a set of underglow neon lights, a 2-compartment red tool box and a Little Giant ladder.  If you have any information regarding this break and enter, please contact the Service by dialing (613) 932-2110.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT
(South Dundas) – On 21Feb11, at approximately 2:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on County Road 31, South Dundas  Township.

The investigation revealed that a female and her 58yr old husband were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.

He was arrested and faces a charge of:

  • Assault

He is scheduled to appear 12Apr11 in Cornwall court.

(South Dundas) – On 21Feb11, at approximately 9:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Marcellus Road, South Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that a male and his 27yr old girlfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the female assaulting the male.

She was arrested and faces a charge of:

  • Assault

She is scheduled to appear 12Apr11 in Cornwall court.

CHARGES LAID

(South Dundas) – On 21Feb11, at approximately 5:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an assault on Westwinds Drive, Morrisburg On.

The investigation revealed that a 15yr old female youth was involved in a verbal altercation with another female that resulted in the youth assaulting her.

She was arrested and faces charges of:

  • Assault
  • Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Mischief Under $5,000
  • Breach of Probation Order

She is scheduled to appear 21Apr11 in Cornwall court.
