Fork Lift Accident in Alexandria Ontario Kills Roger Cousineau (60) – OPP Blotter – March 3, 2011

Alexandria ON – At approximately 4:00pm on March 2, 2011, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an industrial accident on Sandfield Ave, Alexandria, On.(Hubert Sabourin Inc.)

The investigation revealed that a male employee was working out in the yard area when he was pinned between two crates by a fork lift.

The 60yr old male (Roger COUSINEAU of North Glengarry) was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Ministry of Labour is continuing the investigation.

CHARGES LAID

(South Glengarry) – On 03Mar11, at approximately 2:30am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.

The stop revealed that the 47yr old male driver (Claude BONNEVILLE of North Glengarry) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

  • Impaired Operation / Motor vehicle
  • Fail to Provide Breath Sample / Approved Instrument / Peace Officer / Motor Vehicle

He is scheduled to appear 06Apr11 in Alexandria court.
