Halak Spanks Habs 4-1 – Leafs Lose – Sens Win – NHL SCORES – March 11, 2011

Cornwall ON – The price was not right for Montreal Thursday night as Jaroslav Halak played Montreal for the first time since his trade to St. Louis and picked up the win as the Blues defeated Montreal 4-1.

Matt D’Agostini got his kicks in too putting up an goal and assist in the victory.   Halak was traded to the Blues for Lars Eller and a minor leaguer.  Eller played and was a -1 for the night with no shots taken.

The loss also ends Montreal’s 5 game win streak as the team is still reeling from the brutal injury to Max Pacioretty at the ends of Zdeno Chara who did not even receive a single game suspension for the hit.

In other NHL scores Toronto fell to the Flyers 3-2; Buffalo nipped Boston 4-3; Ottawa edged Florida 2-1; Nashville shut out Minnesota 4-0;  Phoenix shut out Calgary 3-0; and it was Vancouver over San Jose, 5-4, in the shoot out.

So Habs fans.  Can Montreal recover from the Paciorietty injury and still make a run in the play offs?  You can post your comments below.
