Habs Fall to Rangers 6-3 – NHL Scores – Phoenix Not to Rise for 2012 in Glendale? – March 19, 2011 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – The New York Rangers have some big bodies and that’s the weakness of the Montreal Canadiens as their play off loss to Philly last year clearly showed.

Playing without many of their star players Montreal struggled as they fell to the Rangers 6-3.  Yes, some of the high priced talent did their jobs, but unless people like Andrei Kostitsyn take it to new levels it’s going to be that seasonal squeak into the play offs for the Habs.

Hopefully they can avoid any further injuries and some of the walking wounded can make it back to the team before show time.

Max Pacioretty is said to be one of those that just may be back which would make Scott Gomez and Brian Gionta very happy.

Montreal is 6th in the Eastern Conference with 85 points.

In other NHL Scores; Washington shut out New Jersey 3-0 as they’ve picked up their game and are gearing up for the play offs.  Their dead line acquisitions seem to be playing a positive role on the squad.   Carolina eeked by the Islanders 3-2 in OT and as of press time Phoenix and Vancouver were scoreless.

Speaking of Phoenix it’s looking more and more like next year there could be a move to a more Northerly clime for the troubled franchise.
