Canadian Cancer Society Busy in Cornwall Ontario – Fish Fry, Head Shave, Golf Tournaments! September 19, 2011

Cornwall ON –  Busy times for the Cornwall chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society as they sent in pics of a number of their fundraising bounties!   The Seguin Family Fish Fry netted $3,070.00 (our pardon for the pun).

The Canadian Cancer Society would like to thank Mike Benzien for organizing the first annual E-Bike Ride For Cancer.  Together the riders raised $1205, on September 11th.  Pictured above are some of the riders from the event and left to right Louise Benzien and Carolyn Bourassa, Manager the Canadian Cancer Society.  It was a great day and everyone had a great ride.

The Canadian Cancer Society would like to like to congratulate Ian McKay who organized and hosted the first annual Dan McKay Memorial golf tournament.  On September 1st golfers enjoyed a sold out event which raised an amazing amount of $12,547.50!   Pictured above are Sharyn Duffey, Fundraising Coordinator, Canadian Cancer Society and Ian McKay, event organizer and son of Dan McKay.

The Canadian Cancer Society would like to thank Issac Richer who held a head shave event this past summer.  Issac raised $400 for the Canadian Cancer Society.  Great job Issac!  Pictured above are Issac Richer, Head Shave participant and Sonya Julien, Office Coordinator Canadian Cancer Society.

No amount is ever too little.   For more information about fund raising locally contact Sharyn Duffey at 837 Pitt Street in Cornwall Ontario or you can visit ontario.cancer.ca
