Wrestling Legend HackSaw Jim Duggan in match in Cornwall Ontario – November 26, 2011

Cornwall ON – CGPW Wrestling will be coming back to Cornwall on November 26th 2011 at Murphy’sInnfor the first time in over 4 years. This card will feature WWE Legend and Hall Of Famer “Tough Guy” Hacksaw Jim Duggan, One Warrior Nation and all of CGPW Wrestling’s Canadian Independent Superstars Of Pro-Wrestling, including local grapplers Canadian Justice (Tyler Ackerman) and The Rage Randy Berry, Tag-Team specialists The Hart Breakers Mike Hart & Joey Valentine, (Hart is the grandson of Legendary Canadian Wrestling God Stu Hart) as well as wrestlers from all over the country including 3 from the CGPW Nova Scotia Division.

CGPW Owner Joe Dunlap said in a phone interview that he was “totally ecstatic about bringing his show home”.

“We’ve spent an extensive time on the road since the last time we have been in The City of Cornwall, including 2 years in Nova Scotia, it will be real nice to be able to give “my people” the show that they all crave“. Every town we do, we give them a great show, don’t get me wrong, but Cornwall is my town, I’ve lived here off and on for almost 25 years now and always called it home, when the fans see CGPW is coming to town they know what they are getting and they know I will pull out all the stops and deliver the BEST show CGPW Wrestling has to offer, I always have and I always will.

.

The fans here are very supportive of my product, and have been right from the start back in 2001, it gives me great pleasure to bring the spectacle that is CGPW Wrestling back to my town for them to enjoy.” This huge Pro-Wrestling extravaganza will feature 8 matches, including a Fatal 4-Way Tag-Team Elimination Match to determine the new CGPW Tag-Team Champions, an exhibition CGPW Heavyweight Championship NON-TITLE match which will put new CGPW Heavyweight Champion, Goodguy Big Dave Titan against another huge CGPW fan favourite, One Warrior Nation (although he resembles him to a T, he is not the original Ultimate Warrior).

.

“He has been doing this character for many, many years since the original Warrior turned his back on pro-wrestling, he felt that the fans were left with a huge void when Warrior abruptly stopped performing, and therefore took over the reigns and has been doing it ever since, his name is a corporate trademark, he has his own comic books and he even appears in video games and he‘s one heck of a guy” said Dunlap. Tickets for this event are on sale now, “I wouldn’t wait till the last minute and plan on getting any at the door, there is limited seating at Murphy’s and the last time we were there (which featured WWE Hall Of Famer Greg The Hammer Valentine, The Ugandan Giant Kamala and Birdman Koko B Ware) we had to turn away over 200 fans at the door because we were at building capacity, I only release 70 VIP tickets and the rest are General Admission for this venue, almost half of the VIP’s are gone already and tickets have only been on sale for less than a week” said Dunlap.

VIP tickets are just $25 and with his pass you receive a 45 minute early entry (6pm) for a meet and greet with Hacksaw and The Warrior, a free 8×10 autographed picture of Hacksaw Jim Duggan, a free autographed mini 2×4 from Mr. Duggan, a free autographed 8×10 picture of One Warrior Nation and pizza slice and drink courtesy of Firehouse Restaurant. All General Admission seats are $20 and are on a first come, first serve basis, doors open to the general public at 6:45pm, bell-time is @ 7:30pm. “$2 from every ticket sold, the 50/50 draw and all other monies taken in from draws and raffles will go to The Children’s Hospital Of Eastern Ontario” said Mr. Dunlap, “we recently helped raise $2750 for CHEO with just one event and we set a personal goal of raising $10 000 in the next 365 days by running bi-monthly events in the area, I’m sure we will hit that no problem”

.

We are here to stay, we’ve accomplished everything we’ve set out to do, we’ve toured the country many times perfecting our product and this time we are staying home, I also have a training facility opening in the city October 1stwhich will offer in ring training for adult pro-wrestlers as well as a “Junior Jumpers” program for youngsters ages 12-17, both programs are reasonable priced and I’m sure it will make an impact on our community, you can email me at grandprixwrestling@hotmail.com for more details”.

  1. Let’s all get out there and buy tickets for this event. The local arts community needs our support.

  2. World wide wrestling – real culture boost. Cream of the crop, or scraping the bottom of the barrel.

  3. Hey Preach, whats in the bottom of your barrel?

  4. There should be a born-again pro wrestling circuit, so that folks like the preacher can enjoy some guilt-free entertainment. Nobody could possibly object to grappling for Jesus.
