Cornwall Canadian Cancer Society Busy Holiday Season! December 14, 2011

CFN –   The Candian Cancer Society in Cornwall Ontario has been busy!  Here are some of the latest donations and announcments!

On behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society, we would like to thank Survivor Sharon Lavoie for her donation.  Sharon baked gingerbread cookies and created gingerbread houses to raise funds.  Her fellow Lorneville apartment residents supported these efforts.  Thank you Sharon!  Pictured above are right to left Sharon Lavoie – cancer Survivor and Sharyn Duffey – Fundraising Coordinator.

The Canadian Cancer Society would like to thank Claire Lamoureux for an unbelievable 25 years of volunteer service!  Claire has volunteered for numerous and varied positions at the Canadian Cancer Society, presently she is an office volunteer who works on Relay For Life as well as Peer Support Volunteer.  Claire’s dedication is amazing, we are honoured to have her as part our team.  Pictured below are Carolyn Bourassa, Manager Canadian Cancer Society and Claire Lamoureux, 25 year Volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society.

On behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society, we would like to thank the Ontario Hockey Academy for raising $275.00 in support of breast cancer research.  Pictured above are Mariah Krancevich, Kate Ryan, KaKa McComber, Kayla Ford – OHA players and Lois Van Beek-Barrett – Volunteer Engagement Specialist, Canadian Cancer Society.

On behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society we would like to congratulate Teleperformance for winning the Corporate Partner Award.  Teleperformance has continually supported the Canadian Cancer Society by holding Slapshot Hockey Tournament that has raised over $10,000 in the past 4 years.  They also sell daffodils pins, pink ribbons and volunteer and have a team in Relay For Life.  We are so fortunate to be able to work alongside Corporate partners that are so supportive of what we, together we Fight Back!
