DOMESTIC ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 32 year-old female of Cornwall was arrested on the 23rd of December, 2011. It is alleged that on the 23rd of December, 2011 she got into an altercation with her 35 year-old ex-boyfriend when she assaulted him. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with domestic assault and held in custody until court the following day. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

DRUGS

 

Cornwall, ON- Stacy Rivers, 27 of New York was arrested on the 23rd of December, 2011. It is alleged that on the 23rd of December, 2011 she was found to be in the possession of controlled substances believed to be cocaine and ecstasy. She was detained by the Canadian Boarder Services Agencies and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. She was charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance and released to appear in court on the 19th of January, 2012.

 

BREAK & ENTER

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigation a break and enter that occurred on the 24th of December, 2011 at a residence off of St. Felix Street. The suspect(s) gained entry by breaking a window and proceeded to enter the home. No property was removed. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigation a break and enter that occurred on the 24th of December, 2011 at a Sydney Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry by breaking a basement window and proceeded remove a 17” black and grey Toshiba laptop, a black metal pellet gun and a wood and metal pellet gun rifle. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigation a break and enter that occurred on the 27th of December, 2011 at a Montreal Road residence. The suspect(s) gained entry by breaking the door handle and proceeded remove a wallet containing several personal documents and money. BREAK & ENTER ARREST

            Cornwall, ON- Cody Cryderman, 24 and David Campbell, 39 both of Cornwall were arrested on the 26th of December, 2011. It is alleged that during the early hours of December 26th, 2011, members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division located the males breaking into a Marlborough Street business. They were charged with break and enter, possession of break and entering tools. Further investigation revealed that David Campbell was bound by a probation order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was subsequently charged with breach of probation order. They were both held in custody until court the following day.

BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- Travis Moore, 19 of Summerstown was arrested on the 26th of December, 2011. He was bound by an undertaking with the conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol, and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 26th of December, 2011 he was found to be under the influence of alcohol by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with two counts of breach of undertaking and was held in custody until court the following day.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, MISCHIEF, BREAK & ENTER AND RESIST ARREST

            Cornwall, ON- A 25 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 26th of December, 2011. It is alleged that on the 26th of December, 2011 she attended her 34 year-old ex-boyfriend’s residence when she forced herself in his residence, assaulted him, caused damage, struck him with an ash tray and a metal tool. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was located by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division and resisted arrest. She was charged with domestic assault, 2 counts of assault with a weapon, mischief under $5000.00, break and enter and resist arrest. She was held in custody until court the following day. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

Theft at the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank

(Hawkesbury, ON) On Monday December 26, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Hawkesbury OPP officers were dispatched to the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank situated on Main Street in the Town of Hawkesbury.  The owner of the building called police to report that a break in had occurred at the local benevolent organization.

Constable Raoul Doucet investigated the matter.  The investigation revealed that someone broke into a side door to gain access to the food bank.  Two computers, 12 cases of sausages and approximately $100 were stolen by the culprit(s).

Analysis of the crime scene would lead investigators to believe that the theft would have occurred sometime Saturday, on Christmas Eve.
