POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY
Cornwall, ON- Cody Richardson, 19 and an 18 year-old youth both of Cornwall were arrested on the 4th of January, 2012. The 18 year-old was bound by a probation order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 4th of January, 2012, they attended a Water Street business and removed property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The male was located, charged with possession of stolen property and released to appear in court on the 24th of January, 2012. The youth was charged with 4 counts of possession of stolen property and breach of probation order. The youth was released to an adult to appear in court on the 24th of January, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREAK & ENTER AND BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 4th of January, 2012. The youth was bound by 2 probation orders with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and to abide by a curfew of 9:00 pm to 6:00 am Sunday to Thursday. It is alleged that on the 3rd of January, 2012 after 2:00 am, the youth attended the rear of residences and removed property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with 2 counts of break and enter and 2 counts of breach of probation order. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not releases as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 31st of December, 2011. The youth was bound by a recognizance with the condition of reside with surety and abide by the rules of that residence. It is alleged that on the 31st of December, 2011 she was found failing to follow house rules. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with breach of recognizance and held in custody until court later that day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Cornwall, On- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 1st of January, 2012. The youth was bound by two separate probation orders with relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abstain from the use of alcohol. It is alleged that on the 1st of January, 2012 she was under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with 3 counts of breach of probation and released to an adult to appear in court on the 26th of January, 2012.
Cornwall, ON- Kananakehneh Green, 21 of Cornwall male was arrested on the 1st of January, 2012. He was bound by a probation order with conditions to not consume alcohol and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 1st of January, 2012 under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of breach of probation order and released to appear in court on the 24th of January, 2012.
Cornwall, ON- A 14 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 2nd of January, 2012. The youth was bound by a recognizance with the relevant condition to reside at a certain address and abide by the rules of the house. It is alleged that on the 2nd of January, 2012 she damaged property at the family home. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with breach of recognizance and held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Peter Dallas Thomas, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on the 1st of January, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. He was bound by an undertaking with the condition of keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and to keep a copy of identification on person and present to police officer upon request. It is alleged that he failed to attend court on the 20th of December, 2011 and a warrant was sought. He was located and charged with breach of undertaking. He was released to appear in court on the 17th of January, 2012 to answer to the charges.
BREACHES & DRUGS
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old and 18 year-old Cornwall youth were arrested on the 1st of January, 2012. The 18 , 2012. The 18 year-old youth was bound by a youth probation with the condition of a curfew to be in his residence between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am. The 17 year-old youth was bound by an undertaking with the conditions to abide by daily curfew of 10:00 pm and 6:00 am, abide by the house rules, keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and abstain from the consumption of drugs. It is alleged that on the 1st of January, 2012 shortly after 1:00 am both youths were located away from their residence and charged. The 18 year-old youth was charged with breach of probation order and released to appear in court on the 24th of January, 2012. Further investigation revealed that, the 17 year-old youth was in possession of a large amount of drugs believed to be marijuana, speed and ecstasy pills. He was charged with 4 counts of breach of undertaking, 3 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime. The total value of seized drugs and property is estimated at $4,000.00. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s names were not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 47 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 31st of December, 2011. It is alleged that on the 31st of December, 2011 she got into an altercation with her 55 year-old common-law husband and assaulted him. He was not injured. She was charged with domestic assault and held in custody until court the following day. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.
Cornwall, ON- A 35 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 1st of January, 2012. It is alleged that on the 1st of January, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 33 year-old common-law wife when he assaulted her. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. H was charged with domestic assaulted and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.
Cornwall, ON- A 51 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 3rd of January, 2012. The male was bound by a conditional sentence order with the relevant conditions to abstain from purchase/possession/
WARRANTS & OBTRUCT POLICE
Cornwall, ON- Thomas Cholette, 35 of Ottawa was arrested on the 1st of January, 2012 under the strength of 3 outstanding warrant. He was bound by an undertaking with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 1st of January, 2012 he was located by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division and provided a false name. He was charged with personation, obstruct police and breach of undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day.
BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigation a break and enter that occurred on the 30th of December, 2011 at a Lisieux Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry to a shed by unscrewing the handle and proceeded to remove Kyosho GP Altima ST dune buggy, black and yellow in colour, 9” Jiffy gas powered ice auger, ice fishing chair, 2 ice fishing rods, reels and tackle, 6” hand operated auger and a Mastercraft ratchet. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigation a break and enter that occurred between the on the 21st of December, 2011adn the 2nd of January, 2012 at an Edythe Avenue residence. The suspect(s) gained entry by breaking the rear door glass window and proceeded to remove several necklaces, earrings, 2 iPods, two safes, Washington Redskins football cards and an undisclosed amount of money. Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 1st of January, 2012. The youth was bound by 2 probation orders with the conditions of to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 1st of January, 2012 the youth was found removing property from unlocked vehicles. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with theft under $5000.00 and 2 counts of breach of probation order. The youth was released to an adult with a court date of the 26th of January, 2012. Cornwall, ON- A 48 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 2nd of January, 2012. He was bound by an undertaking with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 1st of January, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 45 year-old girlfriend when he threaten her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with utter threat and breach of undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.
OBSTRUCT & PERSONATION
Cornwall, ON- Edward Cook, 43 of Long Sault was arrested on the 2nd of January, 2012. It is alleged that on the 2nd of January, 2012, a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop when the male provided a false name. he was charged with personation and obstruct police. He was released to appear in court on the 19th of January, 2012.
BREAK & ENTER, POSSESSON OF BREAK & ENTER INSTRUMENTS & BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 3rd of January, 2012. The youth was bound by 3 separate probation orders and an undertaking with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to abide by curfew of 9pm to 6am. It is alleged that on the 3rd of January, 2012 the youth was found removing property from back yards, sheds and carrying tools. The youth was charged with possession of break in instruments, 2 counts of break and enter, 2 counts of failure to comply with sentence and fail to comply with undertaking. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
THEFT
Cornwall, ON- Susan Heckman, 69 of Cornwall was arrested on the3rd of January, 2012. It is alleged that on the 3rd of January, 2012 she attended a Ninth Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the concealed item. She was detained by the store’s lost prevention officer and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. She was charged with theft under $5000.00 and released to appear in court on the 24th of January, 2012.

Cornwall, ON- A 27 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 3rd of January, 2012. It is alleged that on the 3rd of January, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 25 year-old common-law wife when he assaulted her and caused mischief to property. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with domestic assault and 3 counts of mischief under $5000.00. He was held in custody until court the following day. Cornwall, ON- A 39 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 3rd of January, 2012. It is alleged that between the 31st of December, 2011 and the 3rd of January,. 2012 he continuously contacted his 35 year-old ex girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with domestic harassment and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

Cornwall, ON- A 25 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 3rd of January, 2012. She was bound by a probation order with the conditions not to associate, contact, or hold any communication directly or indirectly with her 34 year-old ex-boyfriend. It is alleged that on the 3rd of January, 2012 she sent her ex-boyfriend text messages. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with domestic breach of probation order and released to appear in court on the 10th of January, 2012. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim.
