BREACHES & OBSTRUCT POLICE

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 35 year-old Ottawa man was arrested on the 23rd of February, 2012. He was bound by a Non-Communication Order with a condition to abstain from the communication with a 16 year-old Cornwall female. It is alleged that between the 20th of December, 2011 and the 2ndof January, 2012 he sent the female 3 letters. The letters guided the youths to obstruct police. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 3 counts of breach of recognizance and obstruct police.  He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the female in this incident.

 

HISTORICAL ASSAULT & ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 26 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 23rd of February, 2012. It is alleged that between the January 2004 and November 2011, he assaulted his 14 year-old step-daughter and his 31 year-old wife. It is also alleged that he assaulted both females with a belt. It was also alleged that August 2011 he got into an altercation with his 51 year-old father in-law. The victims were not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 3 counts of assault and 2 counts of assault with a weapon. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victims.

 

BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- Jamie Marsolais, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on the 23rd of February, 2012. He was bound by a conditional sentence order with the relevant conditions to abstain from the purchase, possession, consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also bound by probation order with the relevant conditions to abstain from the purchase, possession, consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 23rd of February, 2012 members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division found him to be under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with 2 counts of probation order. He was held in custody until court the following day.

WARRANT

            Cornwall, ON- Michel Leblanc, 43 was arrested on the 23rd of February, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that he fraudulently cashed 6 cheques. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued. He was held in custody until court the following day.
