You couldn’t see just one of these headliners for $30, let alone all three.”

Cornwall Lift-Off was founded in 1994 and has since hosted back-to-back Canadian National Hot Air Balloon Championships in 1996 and 1997. The success of the festival has grown considerably from its modest beginnings in 1994. This year, an exciting assortment of live entertainment and fireworks will compliment the arrival of 25 hot air balloon teams. This year’s festival will be held July 8-11th in Cornwall’s scenic Lamoureux Park, and it is anticipated that the 2010 festival will attract significantly more than the 50,000 spectators who attended the 2009 event.

We’ll be keeping you updated right through the festival as more tid bits come across our table and stay tuned to Seawayradio.com as we’ll be talking Lift Off all through June and July as we’re also proud sponsors of Cornwall Ontario’s Keystone event of the year!

  1. Is that the same Lighthouse that played the Capitol Theater in the early 1970’s. Obviously Bob McBride won’t be there because he’s dead, but are we talking Skip Procop et al.?

  2. The year before last I was out there taking pictures of those lovely hot air balloons. I didn’t just take the photo’s .. I put them in a album with the information of the pilots. I have even brought the album to the lift offs in hopes to get the pilots to sign them. This never happened.. How could I get this done??
    Thanks , Cindy Branchaud
