DOMESTIC BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 39 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 23rd of March, 2012. He was bound by a recognizance with the conditions, one being not to associate or communicate directly or indirectly with his 39 year-old wife. It is alleged that on the 19th of March, 2012 he left a letter for the female. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was located and charged with breach of recognizance. He was held in custody until court later that day. WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Lorie Archambault, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on the 23rd of March, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on the 29th of January, 2012 she attended a Brookdale Avenue store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for it. Police were contacted, an investigation followed and a warrant was sought. She was charged with theft under $5000.00 and released to appear in court on the 10th of April, 2012.

 

Cornwall, ON- An 18 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 23rd of March, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding apprehension warrant. It is alleged that on the 22nd of March, 2012 the youth failed to follow his conditions being a curfew and police were contacted. He was held in custody until later that day. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

Cornwall, ON- Michael Hatzimarkos, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on the 24th of March, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding RCMP warrant. He was located by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division and turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

 

Cornwall, ON- Sylvain Pilon, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on the 25th of March, 2012 under the strength of 2 outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on the 8th of November, 2012 and the 21st of February, 2012 he failed to attend court and bench warrants were issued. He was located and released to appear in court on the 8th of May, 2012.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

            Cornwall, ON- A 32 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 23rd of March, 2012. He was bound by a probation order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 23rd of March, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 27 year-old common-law wife when he assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of domestic assault and breach of probation order. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not release as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

 

Cornwall, ON- A 43 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 25th of March, 2012. It is alleged that between August 2008 and September 2008, he got into an altercation with his 35 year-old wife when he caused her to fall. She suffered an injury to her arm and received medical treatment. It was also alleged that between June 2010 and July 2010 as well as between August 2010 and October 2010, he got into an altercation with his 35 year-old wife when he assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of domestic assault and 1 count of assault caused bodily harm. He was held in custody until court the following day.His name was not release as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

 

BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- Justin Ullman, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on the 23rd of March, 2012. He was bound by an undertaking with relevant conditions of not to consume alcohol, notify Cornwall Police in writing of any change of address within 24 hours and keep the peace and be of good behaviour  It is alleged that on the 23rd of March, 2012 he was found by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division under the influence of alcohol and failed to report his charge of address. He was charged with 3 counts of breach of undertaking and released to appear in court on the 10th of April, 2012.

 

Cornwall, ON- Laura Green, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on the 24th of March, 2012. She was bound by an undertaking with the conditions of not to possess any alcohol or be found in anyplace where alcohol is sold save restaurants, abstain from the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 24th of March, 2012 she was located in a local by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division under the influence of alcohol. She was charged with 3 counts of breach of undertaking and released to appear in court on the 24th of March, 2012.

 

Cornwall, ON- Joshua MacDonald, 20 of Summerstown was arrested on the 25th of March, 2012. He was bound by an undertaking with conditions of curfew of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., and abstain from purchase/possession/consumption of alcohol. It is alleged that on the 25th of March, 2012 at approximately 3:00 a.m. he was located by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with 2 counts of breach of undertaking. He was released to appear in court on the 8th of May, 2012.

 

Cornwall, ON- James Davis, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on the 25th of March, 2012. He was bound by an undertaking with the conditions to remain within the Akwesasne territory, and to notify Akwesasne Mohawk Police of any change in address. It is alleged that he failed to reside within Akwesasne and notify Akwesasne Mohawk Police of his address. He was charged with 2 counts of breach of undertaking and held in custody until court the following day.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT & DRUGS

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 23 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 24th of March, 2012. He was bound by a probation order with the condition of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 24th of March, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 19 year-old ex-girlfriend when he assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Upon his arrest, he was found to in his possession marijuana and pills believed to be speed. He was charged with 2 counts of domestic assault, 2 counts of breach of probation order, possession for the purpose of trafficking, property obtained by crime and possession of controlled substance-marijuana. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not release as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

BREAK & ENTER

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred on the 24th of March, 2012 at a St. Felix Street residence. It is alleged that the suspect(s) gained entry by kicking in the front door. No property was removed. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred between the 24th of March, 2012 and the 25th of March, 2012 at a Belmont Street residence. It is alleged that the suspect(s) gained entry by a bedroom window and removed a Playstation 3, a controller, and a Call of Duty: Black Ops game. DANGEROUS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

            Cornwall, ON- Richard Sommerville-Marsolais, 18 of St. Andrews West was arrested on the 25th of March, 2012. It is alleged that on the 25th of March, 2012 he was observed by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be driving a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner. He was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and released to appear in court on the 8th of May, 2012.

CHARGES LAID


(South Dundas) –  On 24Mar12, at approximately 9:30pm, SD&G OPP  officers responded to a report of an assault on Victoria Park Crescent, Morrisburg On.

The investigation revealed that a 47yr old male (of Morrisburg,On) confronted a 14yr old male youth and assaulted him.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

  • Assault
  • Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Breach of Probation Order


He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

 

TRAFFIC STOP NETS DRUGS


(North Glengarry) – On 24Mar12, at approximately 4:00am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.

The stop resulted in the seizure (small amount) of suspected marihuana. The 20yr old male passenger (Zachary CHOLETTE of North Glengarry, On) was arrested and faces a charge of:

  • Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana.


He is scheduled to appear 02May12 in Alexandria court.

(South Dundas) – On 24Mar12, at approximately 1:30am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Main St. Winchester, On.

The stop resulted in the seizure of (small amounts) of suspected marihuana and hashish.

The 21yr old male driver (James Robert LIBOIRON of South Dundas) and his 17yr old male passenger were arrested.

The 21yr old male driver faces charges of:

  • Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana
  • Possession Schedule II Cannabis resin


The 17yr old male passenger faces charges of:

  • Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana
  • Assault Peace officer


Both are scheduled to appear 01May12 in Morrisburg court.

 

BREACHED CONDITIONS


(North Stormont) – On 24mar12, at approximately 3:30am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Highway 138, North Stormont Township.

The stop revealed that the 19yr old male driver was contravening one of his earlier release conditions by consuming alcohol.

He was arrested and faces a charge of:

  • Fail to Comply – Undertaking before officer in charge.


He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
