BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- A 51-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on May 31st, 2012. She was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to abstain from communicating directly or indirectly with her grandson except through the Children’s Aid Society as well as to keep the peace and be of good behavior. It is alleged that between April 27th, 2012 and May 13th, 2012 she had made contact several times with her grandson. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with 6 counts of breach of Undertaking and appeared in court the same day. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 1st, 2012. The youth is bound by an Youth Criminal Justice Act Undertaking with the relevant condition to not be away from your residence between the hours of 6pm to 7am except when accompanied by a certain adult. It is alleged that on May 28th, 2012 the youth breached her curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with breach of Undertaking and held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

Cornwall, ON- Chris St. Andre, 43 of Cornwall was arrested on June 1st, 2012. He was bound by an Undertaking with relevant conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. It is alleged that on June 1st, 2012 he was found intoxicated by alcohol by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with breach of Undertaking and held in custody until court the following day.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 19-year-old Cornwall male was arrested on June 4th, 2012. He was bound by a Youth Criminal Justice Act Probation Order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abide by a curfew between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Sundays to Thursday. It is alleged that on June 4th, 2012 shortly before 3:00 p.m. he was located by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service breaching his curfew. He was charged with 2 counts of breach of Probation Order and released to appear in court on July 12th, 2012. His name was not release as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

BREAK & ENTER ARREST

 

            Cornwall, ON- Melissa Scott, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on May 31st, 2012. She was bound by an Undertaking with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that between April 13th, 2012 and April 14th, 2012 she attended a Second Street East store, gained entry and removed property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Break & Enter, theft under $5000.00 and breach of undertaking. She was released to appear in court on June 21st, 2012.

 

THREATS

 

            Cornwall, ON- David Strain, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on May 31st, 2012. He was bound by a probation order with the condition of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on May 30th, 2012 he uttered threats to a 44-year-old government worker. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Utter Death Threats and released to appear in court on June 21st, 2012.

 

THEFT & BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- Mathew Brown, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on June 1st, 2012. He was bound by an Undertaking with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on May 26th, 2012 he removed an 83-year-olds woman’s purse from a shopping cart. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and Breach of Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

THEFT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Michel Menard, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on June 1st, 2012. It is alleged that on April 20th, 2012 he removed a bank card from a bank machine which had been accidently left behind. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Theft $5000.00 and released to appear in court on July 24th, 2012.

 

REFUSAL

 

Cornwall, ON- Joseph Labelle, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on June 3rd, 2012. It is alleged that on June 3rd, 2012 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop when the driver was unable to provide a breath sample into an approved instrument. He was charged with refusal and released to appear in court on June 12th, 2012.

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred on June 1st , 2012 at a Pitt Street residence. It is alleged that the suspect(s) gained entry by an unlocked patio door and removed food from the refrigerator. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred between May 14th and May 20th, 2012 at a Duncan Street residence. It is alleged that the suspect(s) gained entry and removed a 22” RCA flat screen TV, XBox 360, three controllers and seven games as well as a HP 2000 laptop, grey in colour. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred June 4th , 2012 at a Third Street East residence. It is alleged that the suspect(s) gained entry by a rear door and removed a cream coloured six string Pacifica Yamaha electric guitar, Roland synthesizer with foot pedal, black in colour and a Roland amplifier. THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a 2002 International Truck, white in colour from a McConnell Avenue business. It is alleged that the motor vehicle was stolen between June 2nd, 2012 and June 3rd, 2012. . DOMESTIC ASSAULT & MISCHIEF

            Cornwall, ON- A 53-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 3rd, 2012. It is alleged that on June 3rd, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 46-year-old wife when he assaulted her and damaged property. The victim was treated for minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault & Domestic Mischief. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

THEFT, ASSAULT POLICE & OBSTRUCT POLICE

            Cornwall, ON- A 28-year-old Cornwall male was arrested on June 3rd, 2012. It is alleged that on June 3rd, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend when he unlawfully removed property. Police were contacted and investigation followed. He subsequently assaulted two police officers and resisted arrest. He was charged with Theft under $5000.00, 2 counts of Assault Police and Obstruct Police.  He was held in custody until court the following day.

THEFT OF TRAILER

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a VS3 FV Transport trailer, white and red in colour from a McConnell Avenue business. It is alleged that the trailer was stolen between June 2nd, 2012 and June 3rd, 2012. . DRUG SEARCH WARRANT

            Cornwall, ON- Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit executed a drug search warrant shortly after 1:00 p.m. on May 29th, 2012 at an Alice Street residence. AS a result of the investigation two people were arrested and charged with drug and criminal code related charges when they were allegedly found to be in possession of controlled substances. Police seized a quantity of substances believed to be oxycontin, marijuana, hash oil and hash. The total value of seized drugs and property is estimated at $24,000.00.

 

Kelly Tan, 41 of Cornwall was charged with 2 counts of Possession of controlled substance, Possession for the Purpose and Possession Property Obtained by Crime. He was released to appear in court on July 17th, 2012.

 

Shelly Radcliffe-Tan, 40 of Cornwall was charged with 3 counts of Possession of controlled substance, 2 counts of Possession of the Purpose and Possession Property Obtained by Crime. He was released to appear in court on July 17th, 2012.

 

DRUGS

 

            Cornwall, ON-0 Chad Seguin, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on May 30th, 2012. It is alleged that on May 17th, 2012, he was found to be in possession of a controlled substances believed to be marijuana and cocaine after an investigation conducted by the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit. He was charged with 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance and released to appear in court on June 21st, 2012.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT


(South Dundas) – On 01Jun12, at approximately 7:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Colquhoun Road, South Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that a 17yr old female and her 18yr old boyfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in them assaulting each other.

Both were arrested and face a charge of:

  • Assault


The female is scheduled to appear 14Jun12 and the male 19Jun12 both in Cornwall court.

(South Stormont) – On 02Jun12, at approximately 4:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a mischief on County Road 36, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) attended a residence and smashed the window of a Chevy Malibu.

Further investigation revealed that a female’s ex-boyfriend had been continually driving by her residence over the last month.

The 18yr old male (from South Stormont) was arrested and faces a charge of:

  • Criminal Harassment – beset and watch complainant


He is scheduled to appear 19Jun12 in Cornwall court.

CHARGES LAID


(South Glengarry) – On 01Jun12, at approximately 4:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a  youth who was in possession of a weapon on Tyotown Road, South Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that a 15yr old male youth had a knife in his possession on school property.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon


He is scheduled to appear 14Jun12 in Cornwall court.

IMPAIRED DRIVER


(South Dundas) – On 03Jun12, at approximately 8:00am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to check a vehicle on Highway 401, South Dundas Township.

The check revealed that the 52yr old male driver (Johannes MAYER of Erie, PA) was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

  • Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol
  • Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor vehicle


He is scheduled to appear 21Jun12 in Cornwall court.

BREAK AND ENTER


(South Stormont) – On 03Jun12, at approximately 3:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break and enter on County Road 44, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that sometime during the day unknown suspect(s) entered a residence and removed an undisclosed amount coins from a bedroom.

The investigation is ongoing.
