BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- Carlton Mitchell, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on July 20th, 2012. He was bound by two Probation Orders with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour and not to consume alcohol outside of your residence. It is alleged that on July 20th, 2012 he was found to be under the influence of alcohol by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and released to appear in court on August 28th, 2012.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 62-year-old Cornwall male was arrested on July 20th, 2012. He was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant conditions to reside at a certain address with surety and abide by the rules of that residence and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that he moved away from the residence failing to comply with his conditions. He was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it may identify the victim.

Cornwall, ON- Lois Zeron, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on July 21st, 2012. She was bound by a  recognizance with the relevant condition to reside at a certain address, not to be away from residence from 9PM to 6AM except with surety. She was also bound by a Probation Order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on July 20th she failed to by in her residence for curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Breach of Probation Order. She was held in custody until court on July 23th, 2012.

THEFT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 21st, 2012. It is alleged that the youth attended a Ninth Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the item. The youth was detained by the store’s Lost Prevention Officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. The youth was charged with Theft under $5000.00 and released to an adult to appear in court on August 23rd, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

THEFT, BREACH, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON & DANGEROUS DRIVE

 

            Cornwall, ON- Christina Lafrance, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on July 21st, 2012. She was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on July 21st, 2012 she attended a Ninth Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the items. She was detained by the store’s Lost Prevention Officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. Further investigation revealed that on June 26th, 2012 she attended a Brookdale Avenue store, removed property without making any attempt to pay for the items and fled the scene in a motor vehicle when she almost struck a 35-year-old female employee. The victim was not injured. She was charged with 2 counts of Theft under $5000.00, Breach of Probation Order, Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle and Assault with a weapon. She was released to appear in court on August 14th, 2012.

DOMESTIC WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 41-year-old Cobourg male was arrested under the strength of an outstanding warrant on July 19th, 2012. It is alleged that during the month of June 2012 he continuously harassed his 41-year-old ex-wife. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He turned himself into police and was charged with Criminal Harassment and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

 

WARRANTS

 

            Nicholas McKenna, 42 of Barrie was arrested under the strength of 3 outstanding warrants on July 19th, 2012. It is alleged that on December 9th and 13th, 2010 he failed to attend court. It was also alleged that on November 30th, 2010 he was bound by conditions and committed theft. He turned himself into police, charged accordingly and held in custody until court the following day.

 

BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 19th, 2012. The youth was bound by Probation Orders with the conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and not to associate or communicate directly or indirectly with another youth. It is alleged that on July 19th, 2012 he was observed to be with the said youth by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. The youth was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order and released to an adult to appear in court on August 23rd, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
