Chick Fight Lands One in Hospital in Cornwall Ontario – Your Police Blotter for the Wednesday September, 12, 2012

            Cornwall, ON- Richard Wiseman, 48 of Cornwall was arrested in the afternoon of September 11th, 2012. It is alleged that he was operated a motor vehicle on Louisa Street while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with Over .80. and released to appear in court on September 25th, 2012.

 

HIT & RUN

 

            Cornwall, ON- As a result of an investigation, a 22-year-old Cornwall female turned herself to police and was arrested on September 11th, 2012. It is alleged that on September 10th, 2012, she got into an altercation with her 30-year-old boyfriend when she got into a motor vehicle and drove aggressively while following him. The female struck a 28-year-old female acquaintance and fled the scene. The victim was transported to hospital for medical treatment. She was charged with Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle, 2 counts of Assault with a Weapon, Assault cause bodily harm and Fail to Remain after collision. She was held in custody until court the following day. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT,  MISCHIEF & BREACH

            Cornwall, ON- A 35-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on September 9th, 2012. She was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on September 9th, 2012 she got into and altercation with her 61-year-old common-law husband when she assaulted him and caused damaged to the home. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Domestic Assault, Mischief under $5000 and Breach of Probation Order. She was held in custody until court the following day. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

           

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Mark Tyo, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on September 10th, 2012. It is alleged that on September 10th, 2012 he got into an altercation with a 27-year-old acquaintance when he assaulted him with a bat. The victim suffered injuries and transported to hospital. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and held in custody until court the following day.

BREAK & ENTER

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service are currently investigating a Break & Enter that occurred on between September 7th and 8th, 2012 at a Birmingham Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry and removed an Acer laptop, a silver IPAD, a white Wii console with 3 games, a Playstation 3 console, black in colour and also Playstation 3 and XBox 360 video games. (South Stormont) – On 10Sept12, at approximately 8:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break and enter on County Road 2, Ingleside On.

The investigation revealed that sometime between 07th -10th Sept12 unknown suspect(s) attended a business and removed a lap top computer.

The investigation is ongoing.
(South Dundas) – On 10Sept12, at approximately 6:45am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break and enter on Main St. Morrisburg On.

The investigation revealed that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) broke into three local businesses. Entry was gained into the buildings by breaking a number of windows, once inside the culprits removed an undisclosed amount of change.

The investigation is ongoing.
