POLICE BLOTTER RETRACTION

 

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service wishes to retract a release which was sent on November 5th, 2012, in the Police Blotter  Christopher Campbell-Dennison was wrongly named as being arrested, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have occurred.

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY & UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Douglas Anderson, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on November 9th, 2012. It is alleged that on September 19th, 2012 he attended a financial institute and cashed a cheque which was later deemed to be stolen. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and utter forged document. He was released appear in court on December 4th, 2012.

 

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Cody Lacelle, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on November 9th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding Probation Order Warrant. It is alleged that between July 25th, 2012 and November 9th, 2012, he breached his conditions, namely that he failed to report as directed to probation and failed to notify probation of a change of address and a warrant was issued He was released to appear in court on December 4th, 2012.

 

DRUGS

            Cornwall, ON- Jeffrey Novick, 38 of Monkland was arrested on November 9th, 2012. It is alleged that on November 9th, 2012 he was found by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be in possession of controlled substances believed to be marijuana and ecstasy. He was charged with 2 counts of possession of controlled substances and released to appear in court on December 18th, 2012.

 

BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- A 15-year-old of Cornwall was arrested on November 9th, 2012. The youth was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions of not be away from residence between the hours of 9PM and 6AM and abstain from the consumption of alcohol absolutely. It is alleged that shortly prior to 10:00 pm on November 9th, 2012 the youth was found to be under the influence of alcohol and to be away from his residence by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

Cornwall, ON- Chantale Wolfe, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on November 11th, 2012. She was bound by a Recognizance with the condition to not consume alcohol. It is alleged that on November 11th, 2012 she was found by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be under the influence of alcohol. She was charged with Fail to comply with Recognizance and held in custody until court later that day.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 21-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on November 10th, 2012. It is alleged that she got into an altercation with her 21-year-old boyfriend when she assaulted him. The incident was observed by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. The female was charged with Domestic Assault and held in custody until court November 12th, 2012. The female’s name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 12th, 2012. It is alleged that on November 12th, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend’s and her 24-year-old boyfriend when he assaulted them. It is also alleged that he uttered death threats. The victims suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 3 counts of assault and utter death threats. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victims.

 

BREAK & ENTER

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service are currently investigating a Break & Enter that occurred between November 9th, 2012 and November 10th, 2012 at a Louisa Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry and removed 50″ Samsun Plasma Television, black in colour, a Samsung Blue Ray Player, black in colour, and a Gateway laptop computer, blue in colour. THEFT

            Cornwall, ON- Lise Dufresne, 46 of Cornwall was arrested on November 10th, 2012. She was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and notify Cornwall Police Service in writing within 24 hours of any change of address. It is alleged that on November 10th, 2012 she attended a Water Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Further investigation revealed that she failed to notify the Cornwall Community Police Service of a change of address. She was charged with Theft under $5000 and 3 counts Fail to comply with Undertaking. She was held in custody until court November 12th, 2012.

MISCHIEF

            Cornwall, ON- Francis Brazeau, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on November 11th, 2012. It is alleged that on November 10th, 2012 he caused damaged to a motor vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Mischief under $5000 and released to appear in court on November 27th, 2012.
