Found Skeletal Remains

 

Cornwall, ON- On Wednesday, January 9th, 2013, shortly 2:30 pm, the Cornwall Community Police Service were called to a residence in 300 block of Alice Street, Cornwall in relation to skeletal remains that had been discovered by the Fire Department. Police and the Coroner were called to the location and following an initial examination the bones have since been determined to be human. The investigation is still ongoing pending the results of the forensic examination.

 

The investigation into this matter continues by the Cornwall Community Police Service Criminal Inve investigation Division.

FAIL TO COMPLY

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 9th, 2013. It is alleged that on December 9th, 2012, he failed to notify the Sex Offender Registration of a change of address as per a court order. He was charged with Fail to Comply with Order and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it may identify the victim.

 

DOMESTIC BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 45-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 10th, 2013. He was bound by 2 Probation Orders with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, not to associate or contact directly or indirectly his 28-year-old ex-girlfriend and not to be within 50 meters of her place of residence. It is alleged that shortly after midnight on January 10th, 2013 he attended his ex-girlfriends residence and an altercation occurred. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order and released to appear in court on February 12th, 2013.

 

IMPAIRED OPERATION & OVER 80

 

            Cornwall, ON- Randy Campeau, 40 of Woodlawn, Ontario was arrested shortly prior to 1:00 am on January 10th, 2013. It is alleged that he was operating a motor vehicle in a Ninth Street East parking lot while he was under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with Impaired Operation and transported for further testing which resulted in an additional charge of Over 80. He was released to appear in court on January 17th, 2013.

 

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Cody Richardson, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on January 10th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on January 8th, 2013 he failed to attend court and a warrant was issued. He was held in custody until court later that day.

 

Cornwall, ON- Jason Tyrell, 33 of Cornwall was arrested on January 10th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on December 11th, 2012 his surety was revoked. He was held in custody until court later that day.

(South Glengarry) – On 10Jan13, at approximately 2:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that 28yr old male (from Cornwall, On) was operating a blue Ford van  east bound on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township when he was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Fail to provide Breath Sample / Approved Instrument / Peace Officer / Motor Vehicle
– Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol
– Fail to Comply with Undertaking or Recognizance

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
(South Glengarry) – On 09Jan13, at approximately 3:00pm, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.

The stop revealed that the 31yr old male driver and his two female passengers were in possession of a fraudulently obtained debit card. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and face the following charges:

The 31yr old male driver:

– Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
– Possess – credit card data

The 59yr old female passenger:

– Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
– Possess – credit card data
– Fail to comply with Undertaking or Recognizance
– Breach of Probation Order
– Personation with intent – intent to gain advantage

Both were held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court
The 16yr old female passenger faces charges of:

– Obstruct/Resist Peace Officer
– Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
– Possess – credit card data

She is scheduled to appear 21Feb13 in Cornwall court.

All of the accused reside in the city of Montreal, QC.

  1. I do believe that we should be allowed to know who the Registered Sex Offender is. Are they (the Police) not supposed to advise you of this by law…..a concerned parent who lives in Cornwall
