Cornwall PoliceATTEMPT FRAUD & BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- Nyle Prairie, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on January 13th, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on January 13th, 2013 he attended a Pitt Street store and attempted to defraud the store by providing counterfeit money. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Attempt Fraud under $5000 and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on February 23rd, 2013.

 

FRAUD

 

            Cornwall, ON- Colin Ewen, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on January 22nd, 2013. It is alleged that on December 12th, 2012 he attended a local financial institution and forged documents and provided false information. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He as was charged with Fraud under $5000, Utter a Forged Document and False Pretences. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF & BREACH

            Cornwall, ON- A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 22nd, 2013. He was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions to not to have contact with his 19-year0old ex-girlfriend and not to attend a specific Cornwall address. It is alleged that on January 20th, 2013 he attended such address and had contact with his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged that while at the residence he caused damaged to property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Mischief under $5000 and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. He was released to appear in court on March 19th, 2013. His name was not released as it would identify the female in this incident.

BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- Brock Leroux, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on January 23rd, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, not to associate, contact or hold any communication directly or indirectly with certain male Leroux or attendance within 500 meters of his residence except with his written revocable consent filed with the probation office. It is alleged that between December 27th, 2012 and January 20, 2013 he contacted and attended the said male’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order and released to appear in court on February 19th, 2013.

THREATS & BREACH

            Cornwall, ON- A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 23rd, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on January 21st, 2013 he uttered threats to cause death to his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Utter Death Threat and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court later that day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

ASSAULT & ASSULT WITH WEAPON

            Cornwall, ON- Robert Grant, 69 of Cornwall was arrested on January 23rd, 2013. It is alleged that on January 23rd, 2013 he got into an altercation with a 26-year-old female health care worker when he assaulted her and threw a clock at her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Assault and Assault with a Weapon. He was held in custody until court later that day.
