After reading this and the fay bruining letter, I felt like I have already responded to this in a previous “letter to the editor”…oh, wait I did!

    http://cornwallfreenews.com/2012/04/open-mike-by-mike-bedard-i-think-it-is-time-for-bob-kilger-to-resign-as-mayor/

I see the actions are the same but the topic is a little different!

We don’t know who is the councillor or mayor who may be have abused the “conflict of interest” rules but as seen in Toronto; Council should remove said person from office or risk losing in court and looking extremely foolish but then again I beleive looking foolish has already been accomplished!

These people what “WE” voted in spend more time behind closed doors dealing with corruption cover-up than they deal with anything else. I sincerely hope that Bob Kilger is outta there by the end of the meeting. I think the people of Cornwall need to stage a protest demanding his resignation!

They won’t. Too many have too much to lose if they do. Besides, with all those industries, malls springing up we’d be in a vacuum with HIS lose, wouldn’t we.

Perhaps some of those in this NEWSPAPER ‘DAILY’ FOR 7, CAN VIE TO TAKE HIS PLACE. TO-GETHER ALL THE ANSWERS WILL COME CAUSE LOTS HERE SURE SEEM TO MAKE OUT THT’S SO. TO-GETHER, I DOUBT IT MY FRIENDS.

Naw, best be wait for the next election…cause you never know HE just might run again and knowing this town HE and of course his loyal scribes will fallow HIM into even more of the same if he asked them. HOLY MOLLY…..history repeating itself, not just now but for the last 50 years in this town.

Last remark qualifier….remember if you can the long gone ‘gong’ days??????????? No thanks.

A responsible City Council would never have allowed themselves to
get into the mess that they are currently in .
Conflict Of Interest is to them no more than a joke . Can you imagine not even a written policy ? They rely on each person to
declair if they personally feel they have a conflict of Interest .
No checks , no questions asked, Just no responsibilty and why
should they? If in Conflict & they by chance get caught the poor
Taxpayers will continue to pay for their mistakes as they have in
    past . What A System .
