Cornwall PoliceDOMESTIC ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 17-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on April 9th, 2013. She was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of goof behaviour. It is alleged that on April 9th, 2013 she got into an altercation with her 26-year-old ex-boyfriend when she assaulted him. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Domestic Assault and Breach of Probation Order. She was held in custody until court later that day. Her name was not released as it may identify the victim and as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 42-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on April 10th, 2013. It is alleged that early on April 10th, 2013 she got into an altercation with her 34-year-old boyfriend when she assaulted him. The victim did not require medication treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Domestic Assault and was held in custody until court later that day. Her name was not released as it may identify the victim.

 

BREAK & ENTER ARREST

            Cornwall, ON- Karen Papineau, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on April 9th, 2013. She was bound by two Probation Orders with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on April 9th, 2013 she unlawfully entered a First Street East address and removed property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Break & Enter to commit theft and Breach of Probation Order. She was released to appear in court on May 21st, 2013.

            Cornwall, ON- Denis Gamelin, 53 of Cornwall was arrested on April 8th, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abstain from the purchase/possession/consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances. It is alleged that shortly prior to 8:00 pm on April 8th, 2013 he was operating an E-Bike, without pedals, while under the influence of alcohol on McConnell Avenue. He was charged with Over 80 and 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on May 21st, 2013.

 

BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 8th, 2013. The youth was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions of abstain from the consumption of drugs except in accordance with a medical prescription and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The youth was also bound by a Recognizance with the relevant conditions and to abstain from the use and/or possession of illicit drugs and to/obey the rules and regulations your surety has set out in writing. It is alleged that on April 5th and on April 8th, 2013 the youth removed property from his father’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with 2 counts of Theft under $5000, 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youths name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

OBSTRUCT POLICE & BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- Natasha Lalonde, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on April 8th, 2013. She was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions to report in person to an assigned Bail Supervisor, to reside at a certain address in Cornwall, Ontario, abide by the rules of that residence and notify Cornwall Police Service within 24 hours of any change of address, in writing. It is alleged that on February 19th, 2013 she failed to attend a scheduled appointment with her Bail Supervisor. It is also alleged that on April 8th, 2013 she provided a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division a false name and failed to notify the Cornwall Police Service of a change of address. She was charged with Obstruct Police and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance. She was held in custody until court the following day.

BREAK & ENTER ARREST, DRUGS & BREACH

            Cornwall, ON- Marc Fournier, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on April 9th, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that shortly after 2:00 am on April 9th, 2013 he unlawfully entered a McConnell Avenue residence. Upon his arrest, he was found in possession of a controlled substance believed to be cocaine. He was charged with Break & Enter, Possession of a controlled substance and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until later that day.

(North Dundas) – On 08Apr13, at approximately 4:30pm, SD&G OPP officers observed a male on Main St. Winchester, On breaching his earlier release conditions.

Further investigation revealed the 25yr old male (James ELLIS of North Dundas) had removed a bottle of liquor from the LCBO without paying for same.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Theft Under
– Breach of Probation Order

He is scheduled to appear 07May13 in Morrisburg court.
THEFT

(North Stormont) – On 08Apr13, at approximately 1:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft on Allaire Road, North Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that sometime between 05th Apr13 – 08th Apr13 unknown suspect(s) attended a construction site and removed approximately 800 feet of cable.

The loss of the stolen cable is approximately $20,000.00.

The investigation is ongoing.
MISCHIEF

(South Glengarry) – On 08Apr13, at approximately 12:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a mischief on Heron Road, South Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that over the last three months numerous grave stones have been overturned in the cemetery of St. Andrews United Church in Williamstown.

The investigation is ongoing.

BREAK AND ENTER

(North Glengarry) – On 08Apr13, at approximately 9:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break and enter on Main St.  Alexandria On.

The investigation revealed that sometime over the weekend unknown suspect(s) attended a residence and removed numerous bottles of maple syrup and an amount of frozen goods.
The investigation is ongoing.
