South Stormont CATownship of South Stormont to Update its Economic Development Strategic Plan

CFN –  An Economic Development Strategic Plan was developed for the Township of South Stormont in the early part of 2006.

The Plan identified 4 main strategic goals for the Township:

  1. Maintain the basic supports for a favourable business climate and a healthy community;

  1. Promote growth and development for residents and businesses;

  1. Support business retention and expansion in identified primary economic sectors; and,

  1. Cooperate with other economic development partners for regional and international marketing and business development.

With the assistance of the Eastern Ontario Training Board, the Township will be working to update its current Economic Development Strategic Plan by the fall of 2013.

As part of the planning process, a series of community consultations will take place, which will provide South Stormont residents with an opportunity to provide feedback and input into the updated plan.
