Am surprised at Dougan being charged. After all the other two got out of the car and he got more charges than the other two..

Is this Shawn Samson the brother to our beloved Councillor Gerry?

Wow!

Lawyer should be charged with bodily harm as well, then kicked in the nuts for being an asshole.

I see that nothing has changed in Cornwall since I moved away. What a bunch of simpletons.

WHAT??
Guest

Really?? How did the lawyer NOT get charged?? Didn’t the article suggest he threw the first punch?

More importantly didn’t he bite a chunk out of Dougan’s ear?

I’m fairly certain that would qualify as “Serious bodily harm”, and again based on the article I don’t think the lawyer acted purely in self defense.

Even spitting on someone could get an assault charge. I’m pretty sure the lawyer was the first to do that too.

WHAT??
Guest

Oh ok. Turns out i’m getting all of my names mixed up here.

Dougan IS the lawyer not the one who lost the ear chunk…..

Well that all makes more sense.

Another shame is a lawyer involved in such an altercation with someone who was out to bury his father. The lawyer should have known better than to start such a stir. I blame the lawyer for starting this and he should have known better since he is supposed to be well educated and know better than the other fellow. The other fellow was hurting and he couldn’t think straight that day.

I think the lawyer should have his license to practice law revoked due to this criminal charge. Is it just me or is there a blatant lack of outrage towards this guy spitting on another person and biting a chunk out of their ear while going to his fathers’ funeral? Hello?!! Lets get real here!!

I hope the judge gives this family a conditional discharge based on the circumstances and the lawyer, should get the full extend of the criminal charges. Not cool!!

@jules…. so if I have just got the diagnosis of cancer and have only a short time to live it would be ok for me to punch someone or be rude to someone or whatever negative thing…(act out) I think all should have shown some class… is there any of that in this city of Cornewall?

Jane Doe nobody should have the right to punch someone out no matter what the circumstance was but what I am referring to is that the lawyer spit on the man in the first place and he knew better than to do that. He is supposed to be a well educated man and he deals with problems on a daily basis and should have more control on his actions. He can see that it is a funeral procession. We always stopped at red lights no matter what it was but in times like this the cars in the funeral procession… Read more »

Jack Nicholas the Samsons are millionaires and if the woman has no money for food then they are in mighty big trouble for sure. Businesses here in Ottawa are hurting badly and I can second guess the hell what businesses are going through in tiny Fossoli. There is no excuse for the Samsons to act in such a way – they are mighty well off believe me I know them. Take care of the poor people in Fossoli and never mind the rich because the rich can take care of themselves and I said that on CFN before.

Jules !! You Are Absolutely Wright
This Lawyer Will Get It Where It Hurts The Most In His Pocket Book No One Should Disrespect A Funeral Let Alone the Grieving Family
Would You Hire A Lawyer With This Kind Of Disrespect ??
I Would Think Not !! His Practice will cost him more then the fine he would have gotten its called karma

jules

Suzanne you are right I would not hire such a lawyer after knowing about what he did. It shows very poor judgement and this man along with other lawyers and other professionals deal with problems on a daily basis and they have to know how to handle things. That is pure childishness. I know that Mr. Langlois was hurting badly that day and I went through that myself with my own loss of my parents and lately a good friend.

@Jules your statement… Jack Nicholas the Samsons are millionaires, are you serious? Where on earth do you get your stories and facts and when is your babble enough? I know for fact the Samsons are by far millionaires, my goodness I also know child support with one Samson is not being paid by child support guidelines. You have a comment for every article written and time and time again you are dead wrong. As for your other comment, I know that Mr. Langlois was hurting badly that day and I went through that myself with my own loss of my… Read more »
