            Cornwall, ON- A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 4th, 2013. The youth was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions of not to be away from my residence between the hours of 10:00 pm and 6:00 am except in the presence of a specific person. It is alleged that on July 2nd, 2013 the youth left the residence and failed to return. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was located and charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance and held in custody until court later that day. The Youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

Cornwall, ON- Jonathan Briere, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on July 7th, 2013. He was bound by an Undertaking with the condition to notify OPP of any change of address, employment or occupation. It is alleged that on July 7th, 2013 he was located by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division when investigation revealed that he failed to notify OPP of the change of address. He was charged with Fail to Comply with Undertaking and was released to appear in court on August 13th, 2013.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 8th, 2013. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, abide by a curfew of 9:00 pm and 6:00 am Sunday to Thursday unless otherwise authorized. It is alleged that on July 8th, 2013 the youth failed to return home for curfew. The youth was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order. The youth was released to an adult to appear in court on August 8th, 2013. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

MISCHIEF & BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON- A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 4th, 2013. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on June 25th, 2013 the youth while using a pellet gun caused damaged to a passing motor vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Mischief under $5000 and Breach of Probation Order. The youth was released to an adult to appear in court on July 25th, 2013. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

THEFT & ASSAULT POLICE         

           

Cornwall, ON- Cory Sabourin, 34 of Cornwall was arrested on July 4th, 2013. It is alleged that on July 4th, 2013 he attended a Ninth Street store and removed property without making any attempts to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Upon his arrest, he threw several items at members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol members. The Police Officers were not injured. He was charged with Theft under $5000 and Assault Police. He was released to appear in court on July 24th, 2013.

 

DRUGS

            Cornwall, ON- Sarah Sefcisik, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on July 4th, 2013. It is alleged that on July 2nd, 2013 members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit conducted a Search Warrant. As a result of the investigation she was found in the possession of cocaine, hydromorphone, marijuana and an unauthorized weapon. She was charged with 3 counts of Possession of a controlled substance, 2 counts of Possession for the purpose of trafficking and unauthorized possession of a weapon. She was released to appear in court on July 24th, 2013.

 

BREAK & ENTER & ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Kristan Hewitt, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on July 4th, 2013. It is alleged that on July 4th, 2013 she got into an altercation with a 29-year-old stranger when she unlawfully entered a residence and assaulted the 29-year-old female. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Break & Enter and Assault. She was released to appear in court on July 24th, 2013.

 

THEFT & BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- Chantal Wolfe, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on July 4th, 2013. She was bound by a Recognizance with the condition to abstain from consuming alcohol. She was also bound by another Recognizance with the conditions to reside at a certain address on Winnipeg, not to possess, consume alcohol, illegal drugs or use of prescription drugs unless prescribed or other intoxicating substances. She is also bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to abstain from the purchase, possession, consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances and keep the peace and be of good behaviour.  It is alleged that on July 4th, 2013 she attended a Brookdale Avenue store and removed property without making any attempts to pay for the items. Police were contacted and found her to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance. She was charged with Theft under $5000, 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance and 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. She was held in custody until court the following day.

 

STOLEN TRAILER

 

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service are currently investigating the theft of 2011 Homemade trailer, black in colour. The trailer was removed from a Vincent Massey Drive business sometime after July 3rd, 2013 at 5:00 pm. WARRANTS

            Cornwall, ON- Sydney Oakes, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on July 5th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on July 2nd, 2013 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was issued. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

Cornwall, ON- Jennifer Dixon, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on July 5th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on June 18th, 2013 her surety was revoked and a warrant was issued. She was located and held in custody until court the following day.

 

Cornwall, ON- Rose Mpunga Mulumba, 22 of Laval, Quebec, was arrested on July 5th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on April 6th, 2010 she failed to attend court and a bench warrant was issued. She was located in Laval, Quebec by Laval Police and was turned over to members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. She was held in custody until court the following day.

 

            Cornwall, ON- Paul Chartrand, 69 of Cornwall was arrested on July 5th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on July 2nd, 2013 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was issued. He was located and held in custody until court the following day.

 

ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, BREACHES AND POSSESSION OF A WEAPONS DANGEROUS

 

            Cornwall, ON- Sasha Colon, 23 of Cornwall was bound by a Weapon Prohibition. It is alleged that on June 15th, 2013 she got into an altercation with a 18-year-old female friend when she assaulted her while using brass knuckles. The victim was transported to hospital with minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Assault cause bodily harm, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of weapon while prohibited, Unauthorized Possession of Weapon, Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose and Breach of Probation Order. She was held in custody until court the following day.

 

BREAK & ENTER

 

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a Break & Enter that occurred on July 5th, 2013 ay a First Street East residence. The suspect(s) gained entry to the home and removed 2 Xbox consoles and several Xbox games. (South Stormont) – On 06July13, at approximately 2:30am, SD&G OPP responded to a report of a vehicle that was damaged on power Dam Drive, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that an 18yr old female and her 18yr old boyfriend had attended where her ex-boyfriend had parked his vehicle and damaged same. The pair also took an undisclosed amount of money from the male.

Both were arrested and face charges of:

– Mischief Under $5,000
– Theft Under
– Theft Under $5,000 from a Motor Vehicle

Both are scheduled to appear 20Aug13 in Cornwall court.
IMPAIRED DRIVER

(South Glengarry) – On 06July13, at approximately 11:30pm, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to check a vehicle on Chapel Road, South Glengarry Township.

The 51yr old male driver (Jean-Pierre ST JEAN of South Stormont) was found to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol
– Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle

He is scheduled to appear 16July13 in Cornwall court.
DOMESTIC INCIDENT

(North Glengarry) – On 07July13, at approximately 7:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic on Peter Street, North Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that a female and her 34yr old common-law husband were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.

He was arrested and faces a charge of:

– Assault

He is scheduled to appear 30July13 in Cornwall court.
BREACHED CONDITIONS

(South Glengarry) – On 05July13, at approximately 7:30pm, SD&G OPP attended a residence on Concession Road 5, South Glengarry Township to check on the wellbeing of a resident. While there police found a 53yr old female breaching her earlier release conditions.

She was arrested and faces charges of:

– Fail to Comply with Undertaking or Recognizance x2

She was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
RESIDENTIAL FIRE

(South Dundas) – On 07July13, at approximately 2:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a residential fire on Seibert Road, South Dundas Township.

South Dundas fire department attended the scene and extinguished the blaze. The residence suffered significant damage to the second story, there were no reported injuries.

SD&G OPP officers, assisted by OPP Crime Unit investigators along with the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office continue the investigation.

(South Glengarry) – On 03July13, at approximately 11:30pm, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township.

The stop revealed that the 42yr old male driver (Dany LEPAGE of Montreal-Nord, QC) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol
– Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle

He is scheduled to appear 16July13 in Cornwall court.
DOMESTIC INCIDENT

(North Dundas) – On 03July13, at approximately 8:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on County Road 31 North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that a female and her 26yr old boyfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm X3
– Utter Threat to Damage Property
– Assault
– Utter Threat to Damage Injure Animal
– Breach of Probation Order

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

  4. Great police blotter indeed! Everybody likes reading names. Nothing worse then reading about people that are 18+ and they don’t release the names.
