Concerned Citizens Coalition To Meet Over Stalled Cornwall General Sale – Monday September 16th 2013 CLICK FOR DETAILS

CCC 300x250 ver03

The Concerned Citizens Coalition has called a meeting to talk and try and get an update on the Sale of the Cornwall General Hospital.
.
Monday September 16, 2013 at the RCAFA Wing 424 at 6:00 pm.
.
The meeting will be open to the public.
The real estate agents and the Hospital Board are invited to attend.
.
Mark A MacDonald will be giving an update with respect to the sale of the General Hospital.
.
And what steps we should be taking as we move forward.
.
The sale process seems to be stalled and the public has a right to know what’s happening.
.
There are concerns that a former board member is part of the purchasing team and
that the secrecy behind the sale of a public asset has hobbled the coalition’s attempt to purchase.
.
Will you be there?

People in the community (like the elderly in particular) need a type of hospital for when they can no longer care for themselves. Yes home care is the most cost effective way to go but if people cannot help themselves to a certain point then home care is not the answer for them and they have to be placed. We are all getting up there in age and having a place that looks after the elderly is very important. The former General Hospital is a nice size not too big and not too small and in the right place for… Read more »
