“This illicit product was seized prior to being processed into contraband cigarettes for sale amongst the Canadian public. The profits from the sale of illicit cigarettes are often used to finance other criminal activities” stated Insp. Tim Kimpan, Officer in Charge of the Cornwall Regional Task Force. “I commend the members of the SD&G OPP Commercial Vehicle Inspection Unit for their efforts and their assistance in this investigation. In partnership with our law enforcement partners, we are committed to a safer Canada”.
