BREAKING – OPP Conduct Man Hunt on Post Road near Long Sault Ontario – Oct 19, 2013

CFN – ReOPPports are coming into CFN of an OPP Manhunt near the quiet village  of Long Sault Ontario.

K9 Units have been brought in.  A suspected vehicle (a van) was abandoned on Post Road.   Thermal vision tools are also being implemented.

A viewer reported hearing over that at least one home invasion attempt was made by the suspect.

The viewer reports that an abduction kit was found in the van including duct tape, zip ties, garbage bags, and rubber gloves.

OPP Door Knocking

omg having a heart attack! on our way home and got stopped by the opp saying there was a home invasion by some one on our road they diverted us around to another road and just as we passed the road, the cops showed up and closed down the other access road to our street, and we were told to lock our doors and not give anyone a ride on the way to our house! we are home now and all locked down! my mom says the dogs have been barking for at least a couple of hours and the don’t bark for nothing hope they catch the sob’s! will be sleeping with my knife beside my bed!!!!

we were on our way home from cornwall so we went down power dam drive like we normally do on our way home from friends, to county road 36, the police turned us around and told us to go by route via avonmore road, so we did that, and when we turned the corner on our road the police showed up behind us and was parked at the tracks on avonmore road before county road 36

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [STORMONT DUNDAS and GLENGARRY] Male Arrested in Break and Enter 2013-10-20

(South Stormont) – On 19Oct13, at approximately 9:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a Break and Enter in progress on Post Road, South Stormont Township.

Early stages of the investigation revealed that several people attempted to gain access to a residence before being scared off by the owner.

One male was apprehended a short distance away from the residence, police are still looking for other suspects.

SD&G OPP officers assisted by the East Region Crime Unit continue the investigation.

Anyone with information on the above crime is urged to call their local OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122 or crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

    Kelly they have the van apparently. The OPP communicate with we media quite poorly compared to the Cornwall Police Service.

  13. Would of been nice if the police would of some how told us to lock our doors, to close to comfort.

  14. Well you should not blame the OPP for not releasing info, the whole thing must be under investigation and I guess if the OPP need the help of the People they will release a media statement.

    People are more curious that the need to know basics.
