ASSAULT, SEXUAL ASSAULT, THREATS TO LIFE

 

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 14th, 2014 and charged with assault, sexual assault and threats. It is alleged that sometime in the month of December, 2013 the man and his 27-year-old common-law wife were involved in a verbal argument when he punched her in the head and head bunted her then he threatened to stab her. It is also alleged that on January 10th, 2014 while at their residence the man sexually assaulted his common-law wife. On January 14th, 2014 while on routine patrol a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service was flagged down and made aware of the allegations. An investigation then ensued. On January 14th, 2014 during the investigation the man attended police headquarters where he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held foe a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A-14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on January 13th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000 and two counts of breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and for not abiding by house rules. It is alleged that sometime between January 12th, 2014 and January 13th, 2014 the youth removed approximately $10 in change from his mother’s piggy bank without her permission. It is also alleged that between December, 2013 and January, 2014 the youth removed a $20 gift card from his mother’s wallet. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation while at the residence the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released with a court date of February 13th, 2014. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

(South Stormont) – On 13Jan14, at approximately 6:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an assault on Willy Road, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that a 34yr old male had damaged property in a residence and assaulted an adult female.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Assault with A Weapon
– Mischief Under $5,000

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
DOMESTIC INCIDENT

(South Glengarry) – On 13Jan14, at approximately 11:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a domestic incident on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that a female and her 48yr old husband were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female. Further investigation revealed that the female had been assaulted on two previous occasions.

The male was arrested and faces charges of:

– Assault – Spousal
– Sexual Assault

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

(South Glengarry) – On 12Jan14, at approximately 08:30am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to check a vehicle on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township.

The check revealed that the 25yr old male driver (from Scarborough, On) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample
– Poss. of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana
– Driving while Disqualified – court order

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
(South Dundas) – On 12Jan14, at approximately 07:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break and enter on County Road 11, South Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that an 18yr old male (from South Dundas, Township) had broken into a residence and removed a T.V. and various items of jewelry.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Break, Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
– Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
– Trafficking in Stolen Goods under $5,000
– Fail to Comply with Probation order
– Utter Threats – Cause death or bodily harm

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [STORMONT DUNDAS and GLENGARRY] East Region OPP Fatal Crashes 2013 2014-01-13

(SMITHS FALLS, ON) – The East Region of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have been hard at work attempting to keep our roads safe.  With the cooperation of drivers, the fatal crashes in eastern Ontario were reduced by 27% in 2013 compared to 2012. Fifty (50) people died in 45 fatal crashes in 2013 compared to 73 deaths as a result of 62 crashes in 2012.
Also down are three of the contributing factors to a fatal crash; seatbelts are down by 25%, ejections are down by 50% and alcohol related fatal crashes are down by 20%.
Although the OPP take this as a good sign, there is room for improvement.
The OPP in East Region will continue to focus enforcement on:
1.       Distracted Driving
2.       Seatbelts
3.       Aggressive Driving
4.       Impaired Driving

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance locating a wanted man.

It is alleged that:

– on Friday, January 10, 2014, Robert Charles Henry assaulted a woman whom he had previously met through an online dating site called PlentyOfFish

– he forced her into his vehicle and threatened to kill her

– at one point, he hit the woman with his car

– the woman eventually escaped and called police

Robert Charles Henry, 29, of Toronto, is wanted on an outstanding warrant for the following criminal offences:

1. three counts of Assault
2. two counts of Forcible Confinement
3. Theft
4. Threatening Death
5. Assault With a Weapon
6. Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
7. Criminal Harassment

He is described as a black, 6’2″, 190 lbs., with an athletic build, short black hair and a thin chinstrap beard and goatee. He may be driving a 2001 Silver Lexus, with the Ontario licence plate BSDY 927.

He is also known to go by the name Anthony Henry.

Police believe there may be more victims. Robert Charles Henry is known to be violent and and is considered dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him but call 9-1-1.

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a man in connection with a break-and-enter investigation.On Thursday, January 2, 2014, police were called to the area of Liberty Village for a report of a break-and-enter.

It is alleged that:

– on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a man broke into a building and took a quantity of computer equipment, including two Apple MacBook Pro computers, an Apple MacBook Air and a Microsoft tablet

On Sunday, January 12, 2013, Phillip Nicholl, 33, of Toronto, surrendered to police. He was charged with:

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault that occurred in the Roscoe Road and Lionhead Trail area.

It has been reported that:

– on Thursday, January 9, 2014, between 4 p.m., and 5 p.m., a girl in her mid-teens was walking in the Roscoe Road and Lionhead Trailarea

– one man approached the girl and forced her into a parked car where a second man was sitting in the rear seat

– the first man got into the driver’s seat of the parked car

– the man in the rear of the car sexually assaulted the girl

– the girl was able to get out of the car and the car drove away

The men are described as:

Suspect #1: dark-black complexion, 19-20, wavy short hair, wearing a black jacket, black shoes, dark-coloured jeans. He had a diamond in his right ear.

Suspect #2: light-black complexion, 18-19, short black hair, wearing a black sweater and dark jeans.

The vehicle is described as being silver with tinted windows and had a pair of Jamaican flag boxing gloves hanging from the rear-view mirror.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an
investigation into a stabbing on Monday, January 6, 2014, at 2:15 a.m., at the
Uniun Nightclub at 473 Adelaide Street West.
It is reported that:
– a fight broke out on the dance floor inside Uniun Nightclub resulting in
three people being taken to hospital.
– one victim was stabbed several times and two other men received head
injuries. All injuries were non-life-threatening.
One of the suspects is described as black with a muscular build and wearing a
large chain with a pendant with the letter “B” on it. It is believed that the
suspects had a table near the dance floor and ordered bottle service.

13 Division is requesting the public’s assistance locating Jessica Morrison, 32, of Toronto.

It is alleged that:

– beginning in February 2013, she committed a number of offences involving fraudulent bank accounts, resulting in a loss of over $100,000

She is wanted for:

1. eight counts of Uttering Forged Document
2. Procure to Make Identity Document
3. two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
4. five counts of Fraud Over $5,000
5. Fraud Under $5,000
6. Laundering Proceeds of Crime
7. five counts of Possession of an Identity Document

She is described as white, 5’5″, 150 lbs., with long, straight, black hair, and has blue/green eyes. She has a cross tattoo with a snake on her right upper arm, and Chinese symbols on her left inner forearm.
