Cornwall, ON – Amanda Stevens, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on March 14th, 2014 on the strength of a probation warrant. It is alleged that the woman breached her conditions on her conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On March 14th, 2014 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attend the Cornwall courthouse to execute the warrant as the woman was in custody on unrelated charges. The warrant was executed and the woman remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Jason Gougeon, 34 of Cornwall was arrested on March 14th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the man was breaching his probation conditions and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 14th, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody and released with a court date of April 17th, 2014.

 

Cornwall, ON – Stephanie Portieouse, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on March 14th, 2014 on the strength of a probation office warrant. It is alleged that the woman breached her conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On March 14th, 2014 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody and released to appear in court on April 17th, 2014.

 

Cornwall, ON – Nelson Beauvais, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on March 14th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that during a traffic stop on February 18th, 2014 the man was found to be out past curfew and being in the company with someone known to have a criminal record.  Investigation revealed that the man was bound by conditions and was in breach on the night in question, however the man’s whereabouts were now unknown and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 14th, 2014 police assumed custody of the man who was held by port officials on the strength of the warrant. The man was later released to appear in court on May 1st, 2014 to answer to the charges.

 

ASSAULT, ASSAULT POLICE, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Cory Sabourin, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on March 14th, 2014 and charged with assault, assault police and breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on March 14th, 2014 police were called to a Second Street address in relations to a disturbance call. Once on scene police located the man who became upset and threw a chair at police. The man then struck an officer in the chest with his hand. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle and charged accordingly. The man was transported to police headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.

 

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

 

Cornwall, ON – Gary Ingram, 58 of Long Sault was arrested on March 15th, 2014 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of March 15th, 2014 the man was involved in a minor traffic accident in the area of Pitt Street and Fifteenth Street. When police arrived to investigate the matter it was found that the man was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 8th, 2014.

 

ASSAULT POLICE

 

Cornwall, ON – Matthew Levac, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on March 15th, 2014 and charged with assault police with a weapon. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of March 15th, 2014 police attended a Fourth Street East address in relation to an unwanted person call. Once on scene police had an intoxicated man leave the residence and while the man was exiting he closed the door striking a police officer. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 17th, 2014.

 

ASSAULT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 15th, 2014 and charged with assault and forcible confinement. It is alleged that on March 15th, 2014 during an argument the man spat on his 38-year-old common law wife and prevented her from leaving the residence. Police were called and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, and charged accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 16th, 2014 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on March 16th, 2014 during an argument with her 23-year-old boyfriend the intoxicated woman punched him several times in the head causing minor injuries. Police were called and an investigation ensued. During their investigation police took the woman into custody, charged her accordingly and later released her with a court date of April 17th, 2014. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 16th, 2014 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on March 15th, 2014 during an argument with his 27-year-old girlfriend the intoxicated man pushed his girlfriend from behind and pushed her head into a door window. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 16th, 2014 the man who had left the area prior to police arrival attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.
