BREACH

            Cornwall, ON – John-Paul Cook, 58 of Cornwall was arrested on May 7th, 2014 and charged with breaching his undertaking for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breaching a probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on May 7th, 2014 police attended a Marlborough Street address for a disturbance call. Once on scene they spoke with the man and found him to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER AND BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Sasha Knox, age 25, was arrested on May 5, 2014. She is bound by 2 separate Undertaking Orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On May 2, 2014, she was observed selecting several blu-ray discs within a Cornwall department store then placing them in her purse and leaving the business without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. She turned herself in to police at headquarters and was charged with Theft Under $5000 and 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking. She was held for a Bail Hearing later the same day.

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [STORMONT DUNDAS and GLENGARRY] ASSAULT /CASH SEIZED/IMPAIRED DRIVER/MISCHIEF/SPEEDERS INTERCEPTED 2014-05-08

ASSAULT

(South Stormont) – On May 7th, 2014 at approximately 11:45am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an assault at a property on County Road 29, South Stormont Township. Investigation revealed a dispute between a man and woman resulted in the female being assaulted.

The 46year old man (from South Stormont) was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

He was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on June 26, 2014.

CASH SEIZED

(South Dundas) – On May 7th, 2014 at approximately 9:00pm, an SD&G OPP officer had the occasion to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 401, South Dundas Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of Canadian currency.

The male driver, Simarjeet BUTTAR (40) was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
– Trafficking in Stolen Goods over $5000

He was released and scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on June 17th, 2014.
IMPAIRED DRIVER

(South Stormont) – On May 8th, 2014 at approximately 3:15am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Ault Drive, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated the female driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Deborah Ann GOTHARD (59) was arrested and is charged with;

– Care or Control of a Vehicle While Impaired
– Care or Control of a Vehicle with Over 80mgs Blood Alcohol Content

She was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on May 20th, 2014.
MISCHIEF

(North Dundas) – Overnight (6-7May14) several lampposts were damaged on St-Lawrence Street in the town of Chesterville, North Dundas Township.

SPEEDERS INTERCEPTED

On May 7th, 2014 the following traffic stops were conducted by SD&G OPP officers resulting in the seizure of the involved vehicles and driver’s permits.

– 8:41pm, vehicle stopped on Highway 138, North Stormont Township – 140km/h in a posted 80km/h zone.

– 10:51pm, vehicle stopped on Highway 417, North Glengarry Township – 156km/h in a posted 100km/h zone.

(North Glengarry) – On 05May14, at approximately 3:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Main St. Alexandria, On.

The investigation revealed that a female and her 20yr old boyfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.

He was arrested and faces a charge of:

– Assault – Spousal

He is scheduled to appear 27May14 in Cornwall court.
IMPAIRED DRIVER

(North Dundas) – On 05May14, at approximately 10:30am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on County Road 9, North Dundas Township.

The stop revealed that the 43yr old male driver (Jason FLANAGAN of South Stormont) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Driving While Ability Impaired
– Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood

He is scheduled to appear 20May14 in Cornwall court.

(North Dundas) – On 06May14, at approximately 9:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on South St. Chesterville On.

The investigation revealed that a 39yr old male had attended the residence of his ex-wife and entered the residence uninvited.

The male was arrested and faces charges of:

– Unlawfully in Dwelling House
– Assault – Spousal
– Criminal Harassment – repeatedly follow, repeatedly communicate with, watch and beset, Threatening conduct
– Forcible Entry

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
