Toke Notches Another Play Off Win for Habs & Kissed by PK Subban as His Reward by Jamie Gilcig

CFN – Dustin Tokarski got more than the win last night as he and the Habs faced elimination on home ice and fought through for a 7-4 win.  It was a weird and wacky game with Rangers star goalie “King” Henrik Lundqvist being chased from the net and Rene Bourque, who scored all of 9 goals during the season, scoring a hat trick bringing his total in the play off to 8.

Montreal took a commanding lead before a flurry of Ranger goals tied the game and it really looked like it was lights out for Montreal but some very timely goal tending from the Rookie kept the Habs in until they could rock Cam Talbot and grab a win.

Montreal needs to win the next two games to defeat the Rangers.    Andrei Markov had a great game notching 3 assists.  PK Subban logged over 30 minutes of ice  with 1 assist, 4 shots, 3 blocked shots and was +3 for the night.   Montreal inserted Nathan Beaulieu after Alexei Emeilin was scratched due to injury.

Bourque finished the night with a game misconduct as he cross checked Derek Dorsett at the buzzer.

A win is a win however and Montreal gets another crack at extending their season.

Habs of Worthiness for Game 5; Dale Weise who notched two assists and was the victim of John Moore’s head shot that gave the Habs a 5 man powerplay late in the third period.    Alex Galchenyuk who notched a goal and assist, but definitely looked good on the ice and was a factor; Lars Eller was all over the ice and notched 2 assists.

The odds really aren’t in Montreal’s favor.  They still haven’t outplayed NY (or out coached) in any one game and only out shot the Rangers by one in the game 5 win.

Carey Price is skating again.   It should be interesting to see if he returns for game six?

Smoke, mirrors, and Tokarski have somehow kept them alive.   Will Montreal prevent a NY LA Stanley Cup final?     Next game is Thursday.

  1. I am so very surprised
Lots of people went nuts when first openly gay NFL player kissed his boyfriend when he got drafted
Here we have Black man kissing a White man…where is the outrage (this is meant as humor)
Think Montreal Gazettes Aislin cartoon was so right on he drew a Habs fan peaking at the game thru his hand too nervous to look
