Long Sault – The shoppers started to arrive at the Long Sault Farmer’s Market even as we were starting to set up our tents. Andrew Phillips of Avonmore Berry Farms was scrambling even with a helper this week to get set up while selling strawberries to the early birds.

There was a steady stream of people enjoying the great day and loading up on great local products. One craft vendor, Carol Coffey with Coffey’s Creations, was there with her hand sewn children’s clothing to the delight of many mothers, grandmothers and aunts.  We had another new vendor who wasn’t ready to be interviewed this week but next week for sure. I don’t want to reveal too much but I will give you a sneak peak of their product.

Mystery Vendor

During a lull in the action I managed to get over to the Langview Farms booth and talk to Tamara Lang.

The long range weather forecast for next Friday is sunny and mild again. It will be another great opportunity to shop on the grass in Long Sault. The usual suspects will be there with fruit, vegetables, meat, baked goods, canned goods, coffee and Thai Food. An additional new vendor will make an appearance in addition to this week’s mystery guest.

For a great shopping venture come to the Long Sault Farmer’s Market on Friday afternoons from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. It’s well worth the drive.
