DRUG POSSESSION AND TRAFFICKING

 

Cornwall, Ontario – Blake Atwell, age 38, Gail Atwell, age 60 and Lisa-Marie Rees, age 33, of Cornwall, were arrested on June 27, 2014. The Cornwall Community Police Service’s Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at an Eleventh Street address on June 27, 2014. As a result a quantity of cocaine was seized along with other drug paraphernalia and equipment. Blake Atwell was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Breach of Probation, and three counts of Breach of Undertaking. Gail Atwell was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and two counts of Breach of Undertaking. Lisa-Marie Rees was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The three were released to appear in court on August 5, 2014.

 

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Philip Yade, age 24, of Cornwall was arrested on June 28, 2014. He is bound by a Recognizance Order with the relevant conditions to abstain from alcohol and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On June 28, 2014 he was observed by patrol officers on Second Street, under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with two counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was held for a Bail Hearing.

 

 

IMPAIRED

 

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Laurin, age 24, of Casselman, was arrested on June 28, 2014. He was observed on this date operating a motor vehicle in a Cornwall parking lot while under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. He was charged with Impaired, Over .08, and Drive while Disqualified. He was released to appear in court on July 10, 2014.

 

Cornwall, ON – Gaetan Lamarche, age 58, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 29, 2014. He was found by community patrol operating a motor vehicle on Montreal Road while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with Impaired and Over .08. He was released to appear in court on July 15, 2014.

 

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 31 year old Cornwall male turned himself in to police for arrest on June 28, 2014. He is bound by two Probation Orders with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on June 20, 2014, he engaged in a verbal argument with his common-law girlfriend outside of a local business. The altercation escalated into him spitting in her face, pulling her by the arm and threatening to kill her. Business patrons assisted the female victim and contacted police. An investigation was conducted. The male was charged with Domestic Assault and Threats as well as two counts of Breach of Probation. He was held for a Bail Hearing. His name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim. The victim did not suffer any injuries as a result of the assault.

 

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

 

Cornwall, ON – A 23 year old Cornwall female was arrested on June 28, 2014. It is alleged that on this date she engaged in a verbal argument with her boyfriend. The incident escalated into her punching him and throwing a metal pizza pan and a frying pan at him. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. The female was charged with Domestic Assault with a Weapon and Domestic Assault. She was released to appear in court on July 29, 2014. Her name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim. The victim did not suffer any injuries as a result of the assault.

 

 

DOMESTIC CRIMINAL HARRASMENT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 40 year old Cornwall male was arrested on June 29, 2014. It is alleged that between June 25 and June 29, 2014, he watched, followed and attempted to communicate with his estranged common-law girlfriend despite being warned not to do so by the Cornwall Police on June 25, 2014. He was subsequently charged with three counts of Criminal Harassment. He was held for a Bail Hearing.
