Thoughts on Murdered Israeli Teens Found Near Hebron by Jamie Gilcig – June 30, 2014

Grapes_in_HebronCFN – Three teenagers that had been kidnapped were found near Hebron pictured above.   It’s a highly politicized tragedy as they were sadly found dead, murdered, most likely by Hamas.

Thus is life and death in the Middle East.   While there are words of retribution, sadly the circle never ends.  For the families of these poor souls there are families grieving loved ones from before on the other side; some maybe even related to those that murdered them.

And of course there will be blood for those that take revenge, and then those that take revenge on them.

The problem with “An eye for an eye” is that eventually everyone is blind except for the hate that propels them.

Some say the Middle East will never see peace.    I think that will be true as long as oil is at the price that it is.   And as long wolves silence the lambs.

It’s a complicated issue that has been propagandized in every single possible way which has created a lot of hatred on all sides.

Eyal Yifrach, 19; Gilad Shaar, 16, and Naftali Frenkel, also 16,  were snatched while hitchhiking.   Their bodies were found in a shallow grave in a field in the West Bank, near the village of Halhul, north of Hebron.

They will not be the last killed in this endless violence.   Hamas has been blamed and there will be repercussions; but imagine if there weren’t?  After all that is what’s expected.   That may in fact be why these three young  people were murdered; to trigger a response that in the end only creates more hatred towards Israel and fuels the endless violence.   So many people argue about this region without having any real idea of the history or facts.

There are no easy answers to solving the issues of the Middle East.  There are no easy solutions for the people known as Palestinians.  There is no easy peaceful solution for Israel, or frankly any of the countries in the region many of whom are undergoing their own issues like Syria and Iraq.

The only way to stop fighting is to stop fighting, and sadly those that in the past who have called for people to stop fighting have ended up being killed; like Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

Again, there are no easy solutions. Just funerals.

  1. In my opinion the most heinous crimes are those which involve children. This action is a further step from peace. You speak of an eye for an eye, Admin but for those that have read the bible vengeance is the lord’s not man’s. However man has rational and the freedom to choose betwen right and wrong.

  2. I knew about this case since at least 2 or 3 days now and my husband read it in his papers from back home. Such horrible and horrifying things going on in the Middle East that most of you have absolutely no idea what is going on and not just in the Middle East but there are people right here in Canada and the US, Europe and worldwide who will spring terror at any time. The best is to be always vigilant at all times.

  3. Jamie those dirt bags that did that horrible act even kidnap one of their own. There was a man that we know of here in Ottawa (he was funny) and Lebanese Christian and he went over to Lebanon on business and got kidnapped. There was a $500,000 ransom for his release. We haven’t heard about it since. Things are mighty bad and insane over there. This is a terrible tragedy that happened and I found out about it on Mike Rivero’s site (he is Jewish/American) and a very nice man. My husband read about it on his papers that he is on a daily basis. Things are very bad indeed and this is a terrible tragedy to have happened. You cannot go just anywhere the way you do here in Canada since so many bad things happen. Such a beautiful land Jamie and my husband’s uncle who was a medical doctor in charge of the Palestinian war refugees and worked for the UN as a director went to Israel and spoke to me on the phone about it. All of our mail was sent to Vienna Austria during the Civil War – everything was at a standstill. Things are very bad just now in Lebanon and we all have to pray for peace.

  4. Religion. period. The will to live by the sword, and to kill all who is not the same as you. That mentality, or ideology has been inbreed for centuries, and the brainwashing starts in infancy. As David says: “Man has rationale and the freedom to choose between right and wrong”. Its that exact freedom that they wish to remove and replace with dominance and submission. It has gone past the oil now, as now this is quickly becoming a world threat. Our government better get ready, or we will soon be like the UK and France. Struggling to retain our freedoms and peace.

  5. Look up about the Caliphate or is it Califate where the Islamic Arabs want to dominate the entire Middle East, Russia and its areas, along with North Africa, Spain and other countries. This is mighty dangerous to the entire world. Yes this is way beyond oil and gas this is more like insanity at its best. These Islamic schools teach hate and there is one in Cornwall and many other places. Be on your guard folks. We have not seen Ottawa like this before with women all covered up from head to toe and some with their faces covered up. France and England along with other countries are having a hard time with them and Australia hates them for good reasons.
