MASSIVE $4M Weed Raid in South Glengarry Ontario – 3,775 Marijuana Plants Nabbed by OPP – Aug 28, 2014

(South Glengarry) – On August 27, 2014, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) – Project Paradigm, Emergency Response Team (ERT) and SD&G OPP officers executed Controlled Drug and Substance Act Search Warrants at properties on Concession Road 7 and Cuthbert Road, South Glengarry Township.

The search resulted in the seizure of 3775 mature marihuana plants, 186 pounds of marihuana bud, 237 pounds of marihuana shake and75 pounds of a mixture to produce hashish oil. The total street value of the products seized is estimated at over 4 Million dollars.

Officers also dismantled an elaborate marihuana production drying system, which included several pieces of industrial equipment.

Alexander JUST (57) of South Glengarry, David MCDOWALL (57) of Hawkesbury, Kenneth MOUSSEAU (66) of Ottawa, Angel Castro GARCIA (39), Pedro Arenas MUNIZ (41) and Silvestre Martinez TAPIA (50) all from Mexico, were arrested and each charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
– Production of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

JUST was held in custody and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today. He is scheduled to re-appear on October 29, 2014. All others were released and scheduled to appear on October 29, 2014.
