Cornwall PoliceASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM, ASSAULT  POLICE

            Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 27th, 2014 and charged with assault cause bodily harm and assault police. It is alleged that on August 27th, 2014 the woman attended her 65-year-old boyfriend’s residence and punched him in the mouth causing the man to seek medical attention. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody and once in custody spat on a Special/Constable at the courthouse. She was charged accordingly and held in custody for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as the matter stems from a domestic incident and might identify the victim.

DANGEROUS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

            Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old St-Andrews woman was arrested on August 27th, 2014 and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. It is alleged that while in Cornwall in the summer of 2012 during an argument with her 43-year-old ex- husband the woman accelerated her car towards her ex-husband in a dangerous manner. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 27th, 2014 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on October 7th, 2014. Her name was not released as the matter stems from a domestic incident and might identify the victim.

ASSAULT, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH

            Cornwall, ON – Eric Perkins, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on August 27th, 2014 and charged with assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of probation for being in an area that he has conditions to avoid and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on August 25th, 2014 the during an argument with a 17-year-old youth in the area of Park Street the man punched youth in the face all the while brandishing a knife and what was later learned to be a hand BB gun. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 27th, 2014 during their investigation police located that man at a Montreal Road address and took him into custody. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on October 2nd, 2014.

BREACH

            Cornwall, ON – A 50-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 27th, 2014 and charged with breach of undertaking for having communicated with his 46-year-old ex-girlfriend and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on August 26th, 2014 the man met with his ex at Lamoureaux Park despite his conditions to stay away from her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 27th, 2014 the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SD&G OPP

STOLEN VEHICLES
(North Glengarry) – On August 25, 2014 SD&G OPP began an investigation into a report of a stolen motorcycle and trailer on Highway 417, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that on August 24, 2014 at approximately 2:00pm, a 2012 flatbed motorcycle trailer containing a white 2013 Ducati Panigale motorcycle had been left on the roadside to a flat tire on the trailer. Upon returning a short time later with resources for repair, the owner (from Quebec) observed the unit had been stolen.
(South Dundas) – On August 26, 2014 SD&G OPP began an investigation into a report of a stolen vehicle which occurred on Safford Road, South Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that a 2009 Pontiac G5T, 4 door Grey had been left on the roadside due to mechanical failure on the evening of August 24, 2014. Upon returning to retrieve the vehicle on August 25, 2014, the owner (from South Dundas) observed it had been stolen.

Investigations continue on the above incidents

BREAK-INS

(North Glengarry) – Overnight (25-26Aug14) a business property on Main Street in the Village of Glen Robertson, North Glengarry Township was forcibly entered. Inside, a quantity of alcohol and food was removed.

(North Stormont) – During the daylight hours of August 26, 2014 a residence on Smirle Road, North Stormont Township was forcibly entered. Inside the garage, suspect(s) removed a quantity of Dewalt power tools and accessories.

Investigations continue on the above incidents.
