Cornwall, ON – A 15 year old male was arrested on September 17, 2014. He is bound by a Recognizance Order and a Probation Order, both with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on this date the young person fled from a school transportation vehicle, which is in contravention of his custody order and conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. The male was located and charged with Escape Lawful Custody, Breach of Recognizance and Breach of Probation. He was held for a Bail Hearing. His name is not being released as per provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 26 year old Cornwall man was arrested on September 17, 2014. It is alleged that between the end of May 2014 and the beginning of July 2014, on two separate occasions, he engaged in a verbal argument with his common-law girlfriend, which escalated to him assaulting her, once by slapping her in the face, the next time by throwing a pacifier at her. It is further alleged that on September 17, 2014, he threatened to punch her in the head. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. The man was charged with Domestic Assault with a Weapon, Assault and Uttering Threats. He was held for a Bail Hearing. The victim did not suffer any injuries as a result of the assaults. The man’s name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
ROADS RE-OPENED – VICTIM IDENTIFIED IN FATAL COLLISION
(North Glengarry) – SD&G OPP officers continue their investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle which occurred today (18Sep14) at approximately 9:40am at the intersection of County Road 20 and the Highland Road eastbound off-ramp interchange of Highway 417, North Glengarry Township.
A Yamaha motorcycle, driven by Sylvain COULOMBE (38) of St-Eugene-Guigues, Quebec was southbound on County Road 20 on the overpass when it collided with a Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by a 77 year old female from Gatineau, Quebec. The Cavalier was entering County Road 20 from the eastbound off-ramp of Highway 417. COULOMBE sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
SD&G OPP officers, assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Collision investigators continue their investigation. The roadways affected in the closures have now re-opened.
DRIVER CHARGED IN MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION (update)
(South Stormont) – On September 18, 2014, SD&G OPP charged the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision with a pedestrian which occurred on September 8, 2014 at approximately 10:30am on County Road 2, South Stormont Township.
A Dodge pick-up truck, driven by Donald MACALLISTER (80) of South Stormont was westbound on County Road 2 when it collided with a heavy equipment flatbed trailer which was stationary on the north shoulder of the roadway. Allan ROBINSON (55) of South Stormont, who was standing near the trailer, was also struck. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on October 14, 2014.
