Up next is Maurice Dupelle who is running for what would be his second term on Council.
1) Who are you?
My name is Maurice Dupelle and I am married to my wife Karen and together we have 3 lovely children, our son Noah who is 12 and our twin 7 year old daughters Paige and Hannah.
I currently a manager with Community Living Glengarry, I am just completing my first term on Cornwall city council as a councilor.
Former owner of the Green Spot Restaurant, and past president and co founder of Friends Helping Friends a group that aided people left homeless by fire.
2) Why are you running for office?
I am dedicated and passionate about serving our community. As a young family man I have asked myself how can I give back to my community, the answer is simple get engaged and represent the residents of Cornwall.
I want to continue to make a difference in my community. Great things are happening in Cornwall and I want to continue to be part of the great things to come.
3) What are the three best things about our community?
The caring residents, Our location, Our waterfront.
4) What are your three priorities to improve Cornwall?
Community growth, Accountability and Transparency, Taxation.
5) Who was your hero as a child?
My hero as a child and still today is my Mother, growing up she instilled strong values and
always supported me in all aspects of my life.
6) If you could brand the Cornwall of the future in one word what would that word be?
Inclusive

Way to go Maurice and keep up the good work. You, André and Gerry have done good things. I wish you the best on the election. I hope that Mark A. MacDonald gets in as well as Mr. Samler. I believe in not more than 6 or 7 councellors for such a small town. Ten councellors is way too much and that is one of the reasons for too high of a tax rate. It is long overdo for a real overhaul. You are one that I am rooting for from Ottawa. Cornwall is my hometown. All the best and to all that I have named go for it.
